Connections to Loyola University Chicago Event/Workshop/Professor/Upperclassmen/Retreat Assignment Description: Students who are involved and connected to campus tend to be more successful in their coursework. Therefore, for this assignment, you will make a personal connection to Loyola University Chicago by participating in one of the following connection experiences that reflects your interest: Attending a campus event (lecture, student organization meeting, or sporting event) Attending a campus retreat Participating in a campus workshop Interviewing a professor Interviewing a senior-level student Please note: Welcome week activities will not be accepted. Why? o What Loyola values did the experience demonstrate? How? o How did participating in this experience enhance your overall Loyola experience? o By participating in this experience, what connection experiences will you plan for the future? The PowerPoint Slide/Poster/Folio should reflect ingenuity, reflection, and college-level writing. A successful assignment will: Demonstrate creativity and attention to detail Include an image of you present at/in the experience Answer all of the following questions: o What was your comfort level during your connection experience? Why? o What Loyola values did the experience demonstrate? How? o How did participating in this experience enhance your overall Loyola experience? o By participating in this experience, what connection experiences will you plan for the future?

The Score will go down for missing assignment requirements as outlined on in the grading scale section below
