Attach the fabric side of the melio leg bag to your calf using the leg straps.

Take the fluid extraction tube and power cable and strap them onto your thigh.
Clean your catheter and the melio catheter tube with the recommended alcohol swab.

Insert the flat, white power cable into the socket on the back of the controller.
Attach the controller to your waistband using the clip on the back.

Turn the controller on by sliding the blue switch down and off by sliding it up (on the right, when wearing).
Turn the audio alarm on or off using the blue switch on the left hand side.
Clean the end of the fluid extraction tube with the recommended alcohol swab and ensure the cap is on. Tuck the extraction tube into your waistband.

Remove the extraction tube cap and direct the tube into the toilet or receptacle.
Press and hold one or both of the two pump buttons on the top and bottom of the controller to empty the bag.
Six beeps will sound, followed by a short delay and then the pump will start draining. Note: the alarm will trigger every 5 minutes until the melio leg bag is emptied.
After the urine has drained completely, clean the end of the fluid extraction tube and replace the cap. Put the extraction tube back under your waistband.
Warning
1. Recharge the battery regularly and do not allow the battery to completely run flat. 2. Do not put the controller in water it should be wiped with a clean, damp cloth. 3. Do not knock, drop or damage the controller. 4. Do not use in a bath or shower. 5. Do not expose the controller or the leg bag to extreme temperatures of over 50C or under -10C. 6. Do not connect to a non-standard catheter. 7. Do not use for more than 7 days without replacing the melio leg bag. 8. Check there are no blockages or kinks in the extraction tube.
Always use the correct cleaning agent. Do not knock or hit the leg bag. Do not snag the device or tubes. Do not place the leg bag and tubes in a manner that they put pressure on the catheter tubing. Do not wash the leg bag, it can be wiped with a clean damp cloth. Do not touch the end of the fluid extraction tube with your hands. Do not detach the cable from the controller when the bag is in use. Do not use old or frayed straps.
