All students have access to a computer and Internet Paper Slips for creating groups randomly

If an inappropriate group is created then change it. Removed from computers if doing inappropriate things o Brainstorm on piece of paper instead If students finish earlier try to get them to think more in depth about business.

Hand out different slips of paper to each student Students must then match with other students who have the same word on the slip Use words which relate to business e.g Advertising, Planning, SWOT, Brainstorm, Costs

Get students to open up one laptop per pair Get students to login Get students to open up spider-scribe Get students to turn screen off or if laptop lower the screen. Explain the Task Using spider-scribe they have to create a Business Plan Use the Headings: o SWOT Analysis Strengths (Positives of the Business) Weaknesses (Deficiencies of the business) Opportunity (What sets you apart from the rest?) Threats (Competition) o What is your product/service? Where will you source it from? (Manufacturer???) How much will it cost to make? (Cost Effective?) How much will you sell it for? (Profit margin/Competitive price?) o Target Market Who are you targeting (Age, Gender, Demographic) o How will you market the product? How will you market your product (Advertising?) o Running Costs? Staff Rent Variable Costs Bills (Electricity, Water, Gas) Overheads (constant costs) Be prepared to walk around to students to make sure they are on task and assist where necessary.
