HK003 - Do Not Disturb Policy

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that our Guests privacy and safety is honored at all times. Procedure: 1. Any room that has a Do Not Disturb (DND) sign indicates that the guest does not wish to be disturbed. 2. DND status must be honored at all times, unless service has been requested by the guest. 3. Any DND status must be monitored by Room Attendants and Floor Supervisors. 4. If the daily servicing of the room cannot be provided before 3:30 pm, the Housekeeping Coordinator should call the room in order to check if the guest is in good condition and if he requires anything. 5. If there is no answer, the Housekeeping Coordinator must immediately inform the Duty Manager about the situation. The Duty Manager, accompanied by a Security Officer must check physically the room. 6. If the guest is not inside the room, an apology card should be slipped under the guestroom door, informing the guest that Housekeeping service was attempted and inviting the guest to call for the service.
