Tutoring & Mentoring Increases Student Academic Performance!

This past semester the LEGACY youth worked hard to increases their academic success. This past Fall semester 75% of our LEGACY students increased their Grade Point Averages! A major component to the LEGACY Youth Project is our Academic Achievement. One way we make this happen is through the support and leadership from our Tutors/Mentors, a.k.a Young Community Leaders. Each week the LEGACY class is visited by 8 Napa Valley College students, 4 community professionals and 4 Vintage High School students who all volunteer their time to support the academic success of our LEGACY students. One great outcome to the tutoring experience is the relationship our LEGACY students build with the Young Community Leaders, transforming academic support into a mentorship relationship! !
