Patrol Division
The Patrol Division is on the job everyday. It is the largest division within the Police Department. Ocers patrol: In marked and unmarked vehicles On bicycle On foot.

Criminal Investigation Division (CID)


The CID is staed by detectives who have been trained to investigate oenses which my be reported to the UNT Police Department. Once an incident has been reported, the detective provides support to the patrol division by: Collecting and preserving evidence, Interviewing victims, witnesses, and potential suspects.

Dorm Safety
Many students have chosen to live on campus during their stay here at UNT. Never leave notes about where you are (or arent) posted on your door Never leave your door or window unlocked or propped open Never invite someone into your dorm room unless you know them Never leave your valuable unsecured in your dorm room

Know Your Campus


Know where you are going and who or what is around you. Know emergency phone numbers Know exactly where you are parked Know which route you plan to take to reach your destination Be observant of construction areas on campus

Be A Safe Driver
Many students drive to school or have their vehicles on campus. Always maintain your vehicle Place valuables in the trunk Park in a well lit area Lock and roll your windows up Be aware of the lower speed limits on campus
