ANNOUNCEMENTS

We need your input! The group planning Pastor Kimes farewell lunch on June 8 is creating a tribute presentation to be shown at the event, and we need your memories. Over the past 16 years we have all had great moments with Pastor Kimes, whether it was at a fellowship event, working alongside him in ministry, or just hanging out. If you have pictures of Reverend Kimes and maybe a story to tell, we want your input on a tribute video we are creating. If you have any photos that fit that description, please label them with a caption and your name and drop them in the box provided at the Welcome Center in Oberholtzer Hall. If your photos are in a digital format, you can email them to Mark Mayers at markmayers14@gmail.com. Sunday School News

Reaching Out
Members of the church family who are no longer able to attend services are always happy to hear from you! Cards and notes may be sent to Gladys McKay, Grace Park, 1170 W. Main Street, Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360. The care team will be making Easter crafts and plates of cookies for our folks who are no longer able to attend church. If you are able to help to deliver these plates during the week of April 6th, contact Peggy, 421-3280, ext. 23. Stephen Ministry God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16b Dear Lord, we ask you to bless our Stephen Ministry. Guide our Stephen Leaders as they nurture and guide the team. Be with our Stephen Ministers as they extend your love to their care receivers. May each care receiver experience the healing presence of Jesus through these caring relationships. May your Holy Spirit help each of us to encourage one another and to bear one anothers burdens. In Jesus name we pray, Amen. For information about Stephen Ministry, contact Peggy Strack, 570421-3280, ext. 23. Caring Caller Ministry Beginning the week of April 6th, caring callers trained by the membership assimilation team will place phone calls to active members of ESUMC who have not registered attendance for at least four weeks. The purpose of this M.I.A. program is to let folks know that they are missed and to assess any way in which the church may be helpful to them. If you are attending church, please fill out the communication card to register your attendance so the team does not call you unnecessarily. Thank you! This weeks Lenten Service will take place on Wednesday, March 26th at 7:00 p.m. at Woodale UMC at 7:00 p.m. The theme will be Psalm 51, lead by Pastor Amy Banka.

Changes are coming starting April 6th.

Sunday school students will go to worship with their family during the first part of the 9:45 a.m. service. The students will sit with their family until they are dismissed before the time of prayer. At that time there will be a teacher to escort students down to their respective classrooms where they will continue to have lessons using The Story as their curriculum. We feel that this is a good way to help them grow in their faith and a great time for parents to share their faith with them! Organ Series 2014 Concerts Sundays at 3 pm (free and open to the public) April 27 Broadway and classical pieces performed by local professionals, Otis French, euphonium, Marta Oberlin, clarinet, and Sara Ferguson, soprano, in solo and ensemble with our Andy, Joe, and Pauline.
