MATERIALS 4(4-4-5-5) Hanks BERROCO MODERN COTTON (100 grs), #1624 Salty Brine Straight knitting needles, sizes 5 (3.75 mm) and 7 (4.50 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE. 24 and 16 Length circular knitting needles, size 7 (4.50 mm) Cable needle (cn) 1 St marker , 4 St holders. GAUGE 20 sts = 4; 26 rows = 4 in St st on size 7 (4.50 mm) needles. 20 sts = 4; 28 rows = 4 in k2, p2 ribbing on size 7 (4.50 mm) circular needle. TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

BACK With smaller straight needles, cast on 86(9098-106-114) sts. Row 1 (RS): K2, * p2, k2, rep from * across. Row 2: P2, * k2, p2, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 1 from beg, end on RS. Change to larger straight needles and p the next row, dec 3(1-1-1-3) st(s) evenly spaced across - 83(89-97-105-111) sts. Work even in St st until piece measures 13 from beg, end on WS. Sl all sts onto holder for yoke. FRONT Work same as for back. SLEEVES With smaller straight needles, cast on 62(6266-70-78) sts. Work even in ribbing same as

for back for 1, end on RS. Change to larger straight needles and p the next row, dec 1(1-1-1-3) st(s) evenly spaced across - 61(6165-69-75) sts. Work even in St st until sleeve measures 4 from beg, end on WS. Sl all sts onto holder for yoke. YOKE With RS facing, k61(61-65-69-75) sts of left sleeve from holder, k83(89-97-105-111) sts of front from holder, k61(61-65-69-75) sts of right sleeve from holder, then k83(89-97-105-111) sts of back from holder 288(300-324-348372) sts. Mark for beg of rnd and carry marker up. Rnd 1: * K2, p2, rep from * around. Rep this rnd until yoke measures 2(2-2-3-3). Dec Row 1: * K2, p2, sl 2 sts to RH needle without working them, sl 2 sts to cn and hold

in BACK, sl 2 unworked sts back to LH needle, k3 tog; sl 2 sts from cn onto LH needle and k3 tog, p2, rep from * around - 192(200-216232-248) sts. Work even in k2 p2 ribbing as established until yoke measures 5(5-6-67).
