PUBLIC NOTICE CALIFORNIA STATE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the California State Park and Recreation Commission, pursuant to authority contained in Sections 530, 539, 540, 5002.3, 5019.50, 5080.03, 5080.20, et al of the Public Resources Code, Section 11120 et seq. in general and specifically Section 11123 of Government Code, and pursuant to law, will conduct a video/teleconference meeting on Friday, May 2nd, 2014 at beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium of the Resources Building, 1416 9th Street, in Sacramento, California. The meeting facility is wheelchair accessible. NOTICE IS GIVEN that this meeting will be conducted via video/teleconference as permitted by Government Code Section 11123. Members of the Commission will be present in Sacramento, and will also be participating from the following video/teleconference locations, which are open to the public: State Parks San Diego Coast District office 4477 Pacific Highway San Diego, California 92110 Casa Italiana Cultural and Social Center 1051 North Broadway Los Angeles, California 90012

The agenda will include consideration and possible action on the Departments recommendation to approve the General Plan/Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for Old Sacramento State Historic Park. This plan recommendation includes future proposed opportunities for segments of the Sacramento Southern Railroad line from Old Sacramento to the town of Hood owned by California State Parks. No recommended actions for rail line right-of-way currently owned by the Sacramento Regional Transit District through South Land Park are included in this recommendation. The General Plan/EIR for Old Sacramento State Historic Park is available for review at the following locations in Sacramento: California State Railroad Museum Library, 111 I Street; California State Parks Northern Service Center, One Capitol Mall Suite 410; Sacramento Central Library, 828 I Street; Belle Cooledge Community Library, 5600 South Land Park Drive; and on the Internet at www.parks.ca.gov/osshpgenplan. NOTICE IS GIVEN that any person may file a statement regarding meeting items by writing to State Park and Recreation Commission, Box 942896, Sacramento, CA 94296-0001, by emailing P&RCommission@parks.ca.gov, phoning 916/653-0524, or by presenting oral or written statements at the meeting at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard.
