Beneath a Bronze Sky Vault And a surging, deafening noise woke me up in a dark, cold, smelly room.

The smell was so strong, so metallic, so acrid I could barely breath my mind was completely blind. Therefore, I started trying to get my name out of my dumbed head. I was Anthony !a"uelta. #aybe I should say I am Anthony !a"uelta when you don$t use your name for such a long time you might lose the sense of it . I$m %ust sure I$m a fellow employee of the &ew 'ear (leet, a company which is starting to explore resources of e)tra solar planets. I were orbiting around *i+,-., a new disco"ered satellite ,-.,/, light year far from *luto. I was cloned in the poorest part of Saturn, in the #egalopolis built on the first e)ternal frozen ring. There, the weather is burning like fire in the Summer and cold as the bottom of the 0ell in 1inter. That$s where the proacti"e working class comes from2 By the way , I was a strangely lone male. *robably that$s why I end up tailing rocks in the 3uter Space, riding tin cans throughout darkness as a tuna steak which hasn$t realized it$s going in the saucepan rather soon. That smell. I still can feel the iron dust in my nose. *robably there are still some left in my nostrils. After I rebooted my brain I understood I had to act and to act fast. The noise was caused by the ship$s intrusion alarm, and the iron dust was a clear sign that something had pierced the shell. The boat was sinking and the captain had to sink with it. Since I wasn$t the captain but a space geologist wanting to see the ne)t Sunshine, I had to mo"e. Apparently, the autopilot was out of order, and without thinking I ran toward the manual commands. I grabbed the control sticks and I let my training take the lead. It all happened in few minutes. The first single alarm in a blink of an eye became a mad symphony of alarm calls and my heart was the metronome. #y hands were struggling letting the aircraft to keep a straight route in what it seemed to be a gas atmosphere. The "ibrations almost tore off the wings of the plane. A high whistle was coming out of nowhere. I hold my breath, closed my eyes. I didn$t ha"e time e"en for a last prayer. The impact was "iolent. The alarms which had entertained my ears, 4uickly got silent. 3n the contrary the seatbelts were still working. They held my body in place. Than, I looked in front of me. The anterior part of the aircraft was completely ripped apart, letting me see the surroundings. Than, I saw it o"erlooking the yellow grains composing the desert. The sky. It was orange, with green stripes coming out of the thundering clouds. I felt lost beneath a bronze sky. I remember asking myself 5 6where am I78
