Thursday, May 29th - Extend 2 Reading test Friday, May 30th - Extend 2 Math test Monday, June 2nd - Reading EOG Tuesday, June 3rd - Math EOG Wednesday, June 4th - Science EOG and Extend 2 Science test

Principal Thomas needs 25-30 proctors to volunteer for EOG Testing!

BOOSTERTHON!

Parents, be sure to go on to the Boosterthon website at funrun.com with your child to watch great videos! Also, please help them secure pledges and log those in. Your child should have brought home a packet with instructions and a log-in ID. If you have any questions, please let us know!

The money raised will go toward new playground equipment The Fun Run will take place on April 9th K-2 will have their run from 8:00-9:10 3-5 will have their run from 9:15-10:25 ** Parents, please plan to join us on the 9th. Well need volunteers to help count laps, hand out water and most important, cheer on the kids!

Fairview Snack Drive

Snack time helps keep our sweet children going until lunch and no on should have to go without.

Beginning Monday, April 21st, students will have the opportunity to paint Fairviews spirit rock! If youd like to decorate the rock with birthday wishes, shout outs, or a just a special message, please contact the front office to complete the form.

If you could please help us restock our office snack supply by sending in healthy individually wrapped snacks, it would be greatly appreciated!

4th GRADE NEWS

Writing: Students are researching a North Carolina lighthouse and will create a Google Docs presentation to display their information. They will also build a lighthouse at home. Be sure to look in the Media Center later this month to see their creative lighthouses. Math: They have been working really hard learning the customary and metric measurement systems. Students will continue to solve conversion word problems with those systems as well as completing time conversions. Reading: Students will soon be reading biographies to go along with our nonfiction unit. Be on the lookout for the Wax Museum date as students will dress like their famous person. Science: Throughout the next several weeks, fourth graders will be studying animals. They will learn how animals use behavior and body adaptations to help them survive their environments. On April 10th, we will be heading to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC to observe these adaptations.
