D RESURRECTION 3 ! n
!
Dr. McKay Caston, Pastor of Preaching and Leadership Part 2 of 3: Resurrection Power for Resurrected People
COMMUNION Communion, also called the Lords Supper and the Eucharist, is an opportunity to remember the life, death, resurrection and future return of Jesus. Those who partake are reafrming their faith, saying, Jesus is my sin-bearing, righteousnessproviding substitute. Since Jesus has proven his commitment to me as my Savior, I re-commit myself to following him as my Lord. Children who have not yet made a profession of faith before the ordained leadership of a local church are encouraged to join their parents at the tables, but to refrain from taking the elements until they are joyfully admitted by the elders upon their profession of faith in the substitutionary work of Jesus. BREAD BASKET DONATIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY HELPING PLACE April is Creekstones month to stock the CHP Bread Basket. Just drop off loaves on Sunday mornings in the boxes in the lobby and well deliver them!
