New Thanksgiving
Outreach!
By Terry Stark, Pastor of Evangelism & Facilities Manager
Thanksgiving is a time for families and friends to gather
together over a table laden with the special dishes of the holiday.
But what if you don’t have family around? What if you’re far
away from family and friends? What if you’re an international
student at Drake, or a resident from another country at Oakridge,
or a family trying to make ends meet by visiting our Food Pantry
or Clothes Closet? Many people from other countries don’t even
know what Thanksgiving is all about? They don’t know it’s a
time to give thanks to
a gracious God who
provided for those

There are just 2 weeks until Collection Sunday, November 15. Wrapped boxes are still available
at the table in the auditorium foyer or outside Franklin Hall. Monetary contributions are welcome
also. Help Samaritan’s Purse reach its goal of sharing God’s love with 8.2 million children this
year…one shoe box at a time.
Want to Know Where Your Shoe Box Is Going?
By making your donation for shipping and supplies online (rather than putting a check in
the shoe box), you’ll be able to print a barcoded label to attach to your box. The barcode will
enable Samaritan’s Purse to email you with the destination information. Check out EZ Give at

Fall Fun Night 2009
By Sherri Stufflebeem, Director of Children’s Ministries
Our Fall Fun Night was a huge success – but only because
so many faithful Federated friends made it so! THANK YOU
to everyone who helped set-up, those that ran games, donated
baked goods, our concession stand crew who fed our volunteers
and guests, and to the crew who helped make quick work
of the clean-up process. Inviting our neighbors into
our home for a fun family event is one step closer to
having them here on a Sunday or Wednesday. And,
yes, we will be inviting them back through a follow-
up letter! YOU ARE A BLESSING!
