Summary of Team

The Wahoo Swim Team is Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreations first in-house swim team! We accept swimmers ages 5-18 years old and participants must be able to swim at least one length of the pool (25 yards). Our coaches will work with your swimmer to develop their strokes and improve their endurance. Each swimmer will learn and improve all four strokes freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. The swim team will compete against other teams in the Bluegrass Conference once a week on Monday or Wednesday evenings. We encourage all of our team members to compete in meets; however it is not required. A swimmer must compete in two swim meets during the season to compete at the Bluegrass Conference Championships. There will be a strong focus on cultivating good sportsmanship, increasing personal responsibility, and accomplishing goals.

Mission Statement
The Winchester Wahoo Swim Team is dedicated to developing the minds, bodies, and spirits of swimmers of all ages and abilities. Our coaches and parent volunteers are focused on promoting the ideals of responsibility, team work, and sportsmanship to every swimmer.

Swim Season
The swim season will be the beginning of June through the middle of July Practices will be held between Monday-Friday (1pm-5pm). Exact practice times will be determined by participation and ability level.
