Things to consider when using Energisers

&ry to use energisers freIuently during a worksho+ or meeting1 whene$er +eo+le look slee+y or tired or to create a natural break between acti$ities0 &ry to choose games that are a++ro+riate for the local conte9t1 for e9am+le1 thinking carefully about games that in$ol$e touch1 +articularly of different body +arts0 &ry to select games in which e$eryone can +artici+ate and be sensiti$e to the needs and circumstances of the grou+0 6or e9am+le1 some of these games may e9clude +eo+le with disabilites1 such as difficulty walking or hearing1 or +eo+le with different le$els of comfort with literacy0 &ry to ensure the safety of the grou+1 +articularly with games that in$ol$e running0 6or e9am+le1 try to make sure that there is enough s+ace and that the floor is clear0 &ry not to use only com+etiti$e games but also include ones that encourage team building0 &ry to a$oid energisers going on for too long0 Kee+

them short and mo$e on to the ne9t +lanned acti$ity when e$eryone has had a

chance to mo$e about and wake u+2
