Thank yoa so very much for keeping this vital work in your thoughts and prayers, dear brethren in the Lord.
The year for us with a special New Year service in the Bantu township of where I brought a message on "THE HAND OF GOD" to brethren from rounding area. It was also the privilege of David Jantjies and
I have been preaching Sunday mornings at both Guguletu and Mfuleni, and took time one Saturday to take one of the brethren round the Peninsula on
the mo t o r b i k e .
Tuesday evening lessons at Mitchells Plain are held at the James Dunjua home, 9 Montevideo, near the station. The Cittos and the neighbors also
attend these lessons on "SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY." I teach in Afrikaans-
A new series of lessons was started last week on Wednesday evening in the Bishop Lavis township at the Ntobi home, 4 Swan Road, on "THE LIFE OF CHRIST." Already 12 people are attending, and more will be invited this week. On Thursday evenings at the Solomon home in Tiervlei I am bringing lessons currently on "THE NEW COVENANT." 8 to 10 people attend these lessons.
Recently we had a severe flood at Laingsburg where most of the town was washed away. We are planning a visit there soon. 6 of our families in the Hex River valley lost most of their clothing, and our churches are helping to replace them. During the storm I was on my way over the moun tains at Sir Lowry's Pass on the motorbike. The wind was so bad that it blew me over the yellow line 3 times. I had been on my way to HERMANUS, but had to return to MACASSAR for the evening service.
We rejoiced last week as a precious soul was baptized into Christ in the Kuils River near MFULENI. I brought a lesson on "THE NEW LIFE IN CHRIST."
Sunday evening in a rough part of Macassar we were invited to pray for a woman who was ill. Afterwards at our evening service a number of guests were present. I taught on how Christ changes our hearts, our minds, our words and our lives. Most of the
other brethren preached too, and it was almost mid night before a tired motorcyclist pulled into
Ken iIworth.
Tim and
have spent
Saturdays visiting at
Groote
Schuur Hospital, swimming at Sea Point, playing Miniature golf, and sharing scripture and prayer with My Uncle Les and Aunt Radie.
Please continue to remember us before the Lord.

glory.
Lily Solomon of Tiervlei had a lovely wedding 2 weeks ago. She was ill when I visited last week, but the Bible studies continue this week Lord willing, and we have already had some
new students, including her husband, at the lessons.
Tuesday lessons at ililchell's Plain from next week will be led by James Dunjua who has faithfully attended lessons for several years, and is well qualified to teach while I spend needed time caring for Timothy and preparing typewritten lessons in Afrikaans. At my final lesson this week I brought a review of Hebrews 1-8, and we also saw COLUMBIA land by live
TV coverage via sattelite.
Last Wednesday at Bishop Lavis Township I brought a lesson at the home of Brother September. Here also there were new students, and we see good prospects for growth, though I shall only be going every second week during the next few months. 2 weeks ago it was my privilege to
bring a short message at a 21st birthday celebration in the township, and the young man,
Samuel, also invited me to speak at a Youth Rally there soon.
Last Monday I jogged for 3 hours over the mountains to Noordhoek beach; but then I still
had to turn around and come back. That was the hard part. Sunday morning services at Guguletu continue, and last Lora's Day I preached on "THE SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST." The new

Dear Brethren:
28 MA\
I praise God for your kindness, your prayers, and your loyal support for the spread of the
gospel ,.he^.r.fi-Jl.n Caps.. Town, South Africa., Our EASTER services in Worcester across the mountains were well attended by more than 200 brethren from across the western Cape. At a
meeting of church leaders problems were settled in a spirit of candour and Christian love. I spoke on "Life after the Resurrection." The Holy Spirit was moving powerfully as we laid
forward amidst weeping and singing at the time or invitation.

m Lord willing there will be 6 baptisms ar Mfuleni this Lord's Day where the new building is nearing completion. There is a spirit of unity among the brethren now. While there had been some disputing all now accept Brother Ntobi as their minister, and are working together
in a harmony lacking for 3 years.
0 This week-end, Lord willing. Brother Zimmerman and I will be travelling about 250 miles e^st of Cape Town to the Knysna Lagoon for the dedication of a new building there, and for teaching and preaching. There is also a problem there with Brother Gonzana, who has been trying to divide the brethren. Please pray that God's Spirit shall move to establish the
church in a spirit of unity and love.
Since Nancy's remarriage I have been taking care of Timothy with house-keeping, sewing and cooking (I will not mention the flub I made on the sweet-potatoes), while Timmy has shown a flair for ironing that I didn't know he had. He is a prefect in school, sings in the choir,
plays soccer, and came 4th in class, getting an A in mathematics.
In the evenings I have been translating into AFRIKAANS lessons on: BIBLE SURVEY, THE LORD'S PRAYER, PROPHECIES, and THE MINISTRY, & studying THEOLOGY. I have been giving Midweek
lessons on "THE LIFE OF CHRIST" at Bishop Lavis rownship where we have now spread out into
4 different areas, and on the book of HEBREWS at Tiervlei.
On Sundays I have been preaching in Guguletu, while Timothy has accompanied me to Sir Dowry's
Pass and Macassar for afternoon services. Please continue to pray that the joyous news of
the gospel may shine out as a lighthouse from the Cape into the darkness that is AFRICA.

PREACHING RALLY on "CHRISTIAN LJNITY" E.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and from Jesus Christ.
Rioting and stone-throwing broke out again in some areas here last week, so I did not go in to the Bishop Lavis township. The brethren said they feared for my safety on the motor-bike. However this Wednesday I went in again, and all was quiet as I brought a
lesson on the "Life of Christ."
I have been studying the New Testament with Timothy, but as he is now spending 3 weeks vacation with Nancy in MTUNZINI, NATAL I have recontinued a full schedule of le&sons. On Thursday I brought the final lesson on HEBREWS at Tiervlei. Brother Mylie brought his wife to the lesson. Next week. Lord willing, we begin a new series of lessons on "JAMES'.'
On my return from KNYSNA I brought a lesson on "THE CHRISTIAN LIFE" to the new converts at MFULENI in their recently completed building. 2 of the elders accompanied me last week to take communion to Brother Mtsiba who is suffering from bronchitis. He was so happy to see us he said he felt like Peter on the mountain when he saw the Lord's glory.
At GUGLETU last Lord's Day morning I brought a message on "JESUS CHRIST - THE SAME YESTERDAY TODAY AND FOREVER*.' While in the afternoon I brought lessons on "HEBREWS" at Broadlands Farm, Sir Lowry's Pass and at Macassar. By the way, if you are wondering where these places are, I have included outline maps on the back; and if you're wondering how I make it to all these places its really no problem. I leave Wynberg at about 10 AM Sunday on the Honda 400N, go through Wetton, turn left to the National Road and into GUGULETU at 10.30. By 11.30 I'm back in the saddle again whipping past the airport and weaving left through the trees to MFULENI. From noon until 2 I'm preaching and visiting there, and by 2.30 I'm heading along the National Road at about 5000 rpm towards Somerset West and Sir Lowry's Pass. At 3PM I am bringing a lesson at the home of Brother Albert at the Broadlands Stud Farm. By 4.30 I'm having a late lunch at Macassar and at 5.30 its time for the service.
Brother Lufele has l e f t the
Worcester congregation and Zimmerman is now preaching there. Please pray for them. Yours in His mighty name,
i. -

I greet you in the name of our blessed Lord Jesus Christ, and pray that his blessings, mercy and peace will be with you. Thank you for the extra funds you sent for a car. If you continue I will have enough for a deposit early in the new year, Lord willing.

Preparations continue on my THEOLOGY lessons for next year. 74 pages in English have been completed, and I am now translating these into the Afrikaans language. The HERMANUS congregation is experiencing some problems, but there are also prospects for growth. Brother NTOBI has
invited me to visit there next month.
Recent unrest in the townships with squatter problems caused the police
to stop me going into GUGULETU one Sunday, and I had to get a permit from
the Bantu Administration Board before I could re-enter. After preaching at GUGULETU I travel on to MFULENI for a message or Communion meditation.
During the week I alternate between TIERVLEI and BISHOP LAVIS TOWNSHIP, where we have been having Bible lessons in different homes.
