A Culinary Evening with the California Winemasters

Saturday - May 17, 2014 Warner Bros. Studio, Burbank, CA

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FORM

DAY VOLUNTEERS SHIFTS BEGIN AT 9am


Times listed are flexible however we do request a 5-hour minimum commitment per shift. ! AUCTION DISPLAY SET-UP 9am3pm - Duties range from unloading and moving items to the auction tables and keeping track of boxes, to ensuring all items/ and bid sheets are properly displayed. This activity may require some light lifting. ! CENTERPIECES 10am-1:30pm - Assisting in assembling & placing centerpieces. The pieces include real fruit and are perishable. There is a time sensitive factor with this assignment. ! CHEF AND WINE MAKER BAGS 10am-3pm - Set up all items for the bags and insert into bags. ! DAY SIGNS 9am-12pm - Assist in placing signs for chefs/winemakers. Some light lifting involved. ! GIFT BAG ASSEMBLY 9:30am-3pm - Set up the gifts for assembly and insert into sponsor bags.

MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD TO PARTICIPATE IN EVENING SHIFTS EVENING VOLUNTEERS SHIFTS BEGIN AT 4pm
Times listed are flexible however we do request a 4-hour minimum commitment per shift. ! "ASK ME GRAPES" 4-10pm - This job involves directing guests and participants to key areas throughout the event. Volunteers will need to be familiar with all logistical information (i.e. restrooms, auction lots, table assignments, etc.). Must be able to easily read a map and direct others. ! REGISTRATION 4-8pm - Greet guests upon arrival in parking lot. Responsible for registering guest, trouble shooting, staying alert for crashers and press. Must have a happy and friendly attitude since youll be greeting guests. ! HOOPLA 4:30 10:30pm - Create excitement for winning bidders during live auction by placing Mardi Gras beads around the necks of the winners and tossing gold coins on the winners tables. The Hoopla team also helps call attention to the guests in their area who are bidding. ! SILENT AUCTION MONITOR/CLOSER 411pm - Responsible for monitoring silent auction items, keeping track of boxes for each item, monitor bid sheets for correct increments, bogus bidders, trouble shoot area. There are various shifts for this due to various auction lots. You will have a break during your shift. Responsible for delivering auction items to Auction Pick Up once auction lot closes. This requires some light lifting and comfortable clothing/shoes. ! GLASS/PLATES DISTRIBUTION and GIFTS SET-UP & DISTRIBUTION 4-11pm - Responsible for greeting and distributing event glasses and plates to guests. You will also assemble gifts and distribute to guests as they depart the event. You will have a break during your shift.

EVENING VOLUNTEERS SHIFTS RANGE FROM 4pm Midnight


Times listed are flexible however we do request a 4-hour minimum commitment per shift. ! LIVE AUCTION SPOTTERS 7:30-10:30pm Responsible for watching a section of live bidders and notifying the auctioneer when someones paddle goes up to bid. Need to be very accurate and sure the paddle has in fact gone up. ! AUCTION PICK-UP 8-11pm Responsible for giving items to bid winners. Its important to get the items to the winners rapidly and correctly. Must be alert in this area due to the volume of items. Requires a keen eye on matching ticket numbers to auction items. Please be aware of separated items from their cases. This requires some light lifting and comfortable clothing/shoes. ! AUCTION PICK-UP TRANSPORTERS 9-11pm Load items on dollies and deliver to the guests car. This requires some light lifting and comfortable clothing/shoes. ! LIVE AUCTION/BID FOR A CURE RUNNER 8-11pm - Responsible for retrieving NCR slip from Live Auction Captain at stage and running it to the winning bidder. Also responsible for assisting with Bid for A Cure by picking up pledge envelopes from each table. For the Live Auction, the NCR forms must be filled out properly and then brought to cashiering. ! TEARDOWN/CLEAN-UP 9pm-12am - Assists in clean up, boxing of items, and any other manual labor to tear down event. This requires some light lifting and comfortable clothing/shoes.
