GOD KNOWS!

No. I

The time for us to enter the new house has been anxiously approaching. At first, we thought that we could enter on the first of April. But, there wasn't any material available, at one time, which caused the work to come to a "STANDSTILL". So, the entry was delayed. At present, we are lacking a kitchen-sink, a hot-water heater, a stationary gas-tank (propane), a water-tank, glass for the windows, bathroom fixtures for one of the bath rooms and all of the Interior to be painted. But, after painting, installing a bathroom and putting the glass In the windows, it can be used for living. It won't be finished, but can save some rent. "The real purpose of our existence is not to make a living, but to make a life~a worthy, Well-rounded, useful life." Copied
NO SERVICE!

It was planned to hold opening-services In the new-house on Easter Day, but all the members of the A.C. couldn't be pre sent. So, opening-service wasn't held.

The members are busy In their work. But, most of them are school-teachers except one, who is an engineer. So, summervacation will provide the time. Please pray for the engineer to
be free at the same time.

"We always have time enough

if we can but use it aright."

ADiOS CARLOS!

When one boy walked home from the bus-stop, a kitten fol lowed him. He asked me if we could keep him and I thought it

would be fine. So, we gave him the name "Carlos". But, before we prepared a box of sand, he used a boys' tennis-shoe. A few days later, he was jumping onto the table and book cases. After breaking some bookends and scratching some furni ture, I was tempted to make some cat-soup. But, a neighbor-boy solved the problem by asking If he could have him. "They that know God will be humble; they that know themselves cannot be proud." Copied
I'M SORRY!

You are receiving this late because I was hoping to include a message about us moving into the new house. But, it is un
known when we will be able to move.

Besides, I loaned my typewriter to the landlord and it has not been returned as planned.

"If you would know the greatest sum in addition. Count your blessings." Copied
THANK YOU!

A neighbor-boy who attends services held in the new house each Friday night at 7:00, asked for a Bible. When I gave it to him and he said, "Thank You", I realized how thankful I am for the help of each of you. It is only through your help, that I'm able to help anyone else.
CHICKENS

A friend raises chickens and wanted me to buy some of them. But, I refused because we don't have room to keep them. And I was told that I could let them live in the same place. So, I bought 10 hens and 2 roosters at $3.25 each. I was counting-on an egg a day from each hen, but they just started to produce.

"Keep your enthusiams, and forget your birthdays formula for youth!" Copied
MAY I HAVE A ROOM?

A young-fellow asked to spend a night with us and we thought

we should lend a helping-hand. But, after five days, he asked,
if he could have a room to live. All I could say, was that God

helps the people in the states pay the expenses of a student-

home and not a home for young-adults that don't go to school.

"SOMEONE HAVING TROUBLE"

"O God, if I see someone having trouble, help me to stop instead of walking-by. Help me to feel his trouble as if it were my own. Tell me what to say or do to make it right and to feel love for him.in his trouble, when he most needs love." Copied

CHRISIS! CHRISIS!

The earthquake in Mexico City has helped all of us to be

more alert. Tremors were felt here in San Luis Potosi and the

people better understand the teachings on the end of the world. The country Is in a financial crisis and the people are suf
fering from it. AH merchandise is 2-3 times higher and the
value of the dollar goes up or down everyday.

CHANGE OF TIME

Church-services in the new house were held at 7:00 p.m.

each Friday. But, a few students are unable to attend Friday night because they are in classes at school. As a result, we have
decided to change the day of meetings to Saturday.
WHO GAVE YOU THE AUTHORITY?

I had the opportunity to pass-out pamphlets In the city of Tepatltlan, Jal. during the month of September. While there, I
visited the Catholic Church. Of course, there were some people

on their knees praying. But, I gave each of them a pamphlet and a lady asked, "Who gave you the Authority?" Christ command ed each of us to go into ail the world and nobody Is before
Christ.

"And He said unto them, Go ye Into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
Mark 16:15

PLEASE EXCUSE ME!

We learn through experience, but I never learned the consequneces of one money-order dealing, until I had helped three different parties cash their money-orders. Then, six-months later, I learned one was ineffective. A year later, i learned an other was Ineffective and a year and one-half later, the other one
was learned to be ineffective.

I have learned my lesson, please pray for me to remember when asked to help again!

"The man who trusts men will make fewer mistakes than he who distrusts them."

RECEIVING LIGHT

A friend and i visited Ojueios, Jai., to pass-out pamphlets on the word of God and to talk to the people. Now, a person or two comes to visit Soledad to say, that more people want to know about God and ask for more pamphlets or New Testaments.

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Hjm in spirit and in truth."
John 4:24

NEW GLASSES

While making transactions in the bank on the 27th of Sept ember, I had an epileptic-seizure. I fell and cut my head, which
causes the doctor of the bank to render his services. He has

stated, that he will cure my epilepsy. In referring me to an eye-

doctor, it was discovered that I need a change oif glasses. In

talking to each doctor, I had the opportunity to talk of God.

THE RACE IS NOT OVER!!

You're receiving this letter extra late because, 1 was start ing to think my missionary-days were finished. But, thanks to
God, I'm able to remain the same.

During the last days of February, 1 became unable to think

clearly and I became nervous when speaking in front of a con gregation. But, I continued with the hope of over-coming the dis
order.

With the help of God, I changed (became normal) on May

11, 1986. As a result, there will be no financial-statement In this letter

nor the next letter. Because during both periods, I failed to re

cord expenses.

This shows us what God can do, if we let Him.

The mission finished another good yearthanks to God and

each of you! And we hope to do even better in this year.

"The way to be happy is to make others happy."
LIGHT COMES!

This is the rainy season and lightning comes with it. The other night, it rained with several bolts of lightning. As a result, a fuse and 2 lightbulbs exploded. The door to the fusebox was

blown-off and one of the lightbulbs was covered by a glass-fix

ture, which was shattered.

WAITING

In the month of February, I lost my social-security card. A new application has been filed and the cost of $42.00 has been paid. But, I'm still waiting.

CONVENTION IN SALTILLO

The men from all of the churches of Christ, in Mexico, were invited to a convention on the ranch of Rodney & Maysel Northrup, in Saltillo, Mexico. It took place in March, but I was able to give a testimony
thanks to God!

A WOMANS' TOUCH

A young lady comes each weekday morning at 9:30 or 10:00

to cook dinner. She leaves at 1:30 or 2:00, but often cooks

enough for the boys to use when preparing supper. She is paid $18.00 each month. Not only do we have dinner prepared better, but the boys
can learn some new recipes.

A NEW KITCHEN!

A kitchen-sink is still needed, but we managed to buy a new

stove and a kitchen-cabinet. Plus, the kitchen has curtains.

CURTAINS ARE UP!

The outside windows on the front and the north-side of the

house has curtains. They're windows without shades. So, the curtains serve two purposesespecially at night.

"I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something; and what I should do and can do, by the
Grace of God I will do."
