10/28/181137 (22, works on farm) — all born in VT.38 In 1850 Thomas, Betsy and children
(Mariam and Olive, 8, and Sylvester, 3) had been living in Vermont.39 Per 1880
census, Thomas was widowed, retired from farming, living with son Sylvester,
his wife and 4 children.40 In 1900 he was living in Independence, KS, with
daughter Olive, her husband and son.41

In May 1910, the one-month-widowed Mary Chester was living in home of son
Jerome.49 In 1930, she was living with son John.50

Booth (14), Sarah E. Booth (12), all born NY.71 In 1870, only Eden Booth

Amanda [Niles] (46); two stepchildren: Eva (15) and Charles (12) Niles; two
grandsons: Clarence Smith (14) and Thomas Hanney (20).73 Simeon had three
children of his own, all by first wife, Louisa Imus74 or Imes75: Anna L. (married
Thomas Hanna, then Gideon Smith), Horace, and unnamed child who died prior
