Provide the Unique e Transaction Referenc ce (UTR) of the transac ction given by th he bank and other mandatory info ormation on n page 2, sa ave, and pr roceed to page p 3. yment (SB Collect): C Th his is the mo ost convenient option for payme ent using an ny Credit/D Debit (c) Online pay card or th hrough Net banking without w visiti ng any bank. Click on the link p provided to o reach the e SB Collect pa ayment pag ge. A step by b step instr ruction page (PDF) for SB Collect is made av vailable for you to downloa ad. You are e strongly advised to fo ollow the ins structions to o make a su uccessful tra ansaction. Take T printout of f the transa action rece eipt and ret tain it as a proof of payment. p Pr rovide the 10 digit alp phanumeric tr ransaction reference r number n and d transactio on date giv ven on the receipt, on n page 2, save s and proce eed to page e 3. The fee e structure is s outlined in n section-III (page 3). Please do d not pay using perso onal net ba anking throu ugh direct re remittance. A process Page P 3 : Aca ademic rec cords 4. Application Pag ge 3 of the e applicatio on process asks for d details of qualifying q board exam minations of f Xth and XIIth stan ndards. If yo ou are appe earing for the XIIth stan ndard boar rd examination in 2014 4, choose S Status of Re esult as Awaited. If your bo oard provid des CGPA instead of percenta age then c calculate the equiva alent perc centage a as per the guideline g giv ven by your r board. Typ pically, CGP PA is multip plied by 9.5 to convert it to equ uivalent percentage value. v For example, e if y your CGPA is 8.1 then your y equiva alent percentage is 76. .95% (8.1x x9.5). 5. Verify all information on the application preview page. Once all the mandatory fields in pages 1 through 3 are provided, including photographs, signature and choice of examination centers, a single page preview of your application is generated. The page contains your photograph, signature and opted examination centers along with other important information. If your photograph and signature appear too small in the preview, that is probably because of improper cropping. Crop properly without leaving empty spaces around and upload again. Verify and confirm if all information on the preview page is correct and the photograph and the signature are properly visible. Once satisfied, submit your application. Please remember that once submitted, NEST cell immediately receives your data. You are not allowed to further edit any information. 6. Take printout of the application summary page. Once you submit your application, a summary page (PDF) is being generated and made available for download. You are required to send a printed copy of this summary page along with your payment details (DD or NEST challan - part C or SB Collect receipt) to the NEST cell. 7. Send the printed copy of the application summary page along with either the Demand Draft (DD) or the part-C of the NEFT challan (NEST office copy) or the SB Collect receipt by speed post to the NEST office at the address of correspondence given below. Last date of communicating with NEST office is 8th March, 2014. NEST cell is not responsible for postal delays. You are, therefore, advised to apply well before the last date. Make sure that you write your name and application number at the back of DD, in case you opt for this payment option. You can track your application by using the login details after about two weeks of delivery of speed post to NEST office. Once NEST office verifies your candidature, your ADMIT CARD will be generated and made available for download after 8th April, 2014. In case you face any difficulty or need any guidance at any stage, please send an email to NEST mailing address nest@nestexam.in stating clearly the problem(s) encountered. Telephone calls regarding filling of applications will not be entertained. Address of correspondence: The Chief Coordinator, NEST 2014, NISER, Institute of Physics Campus, Sachivalaya Marg, Sainik School (PO), Bhubaneswar 751 005, Odisha SECTION II: OFF-LINE APPLICATIONS Candidates opting for off-line application should send request letter to the Chief Coordinator NEST 2014 at the address of correspondence given above, for obtaining a printed copy of the application form. The request letter should contain full address of the candidate including PIN code. Upon receiving the request, NEST office would send an application kit which includes the application form, instructions for filling up the form, NEST 2014 brochure, syllabus for the examination, and an envelope for sending back the completed application form. Once you receive the application kit, please do the following: 1. Fill up the application form completely and correctly. Instruction for filling up the application form is provided at the back of the application form. The application form carries an application number. Make a note of the number for future references. 2. Paste one passport size photograph at the designated place 3. Sign the form at the designated place 4. Prepare a Demand Draft (DD) or pay through NEFT transfer. Details of these payments options are given below. Please follow the fee structure given in section III. 5. Provide demand draft or NEFT transfer details, whichever applicable, in the application form 6. Enclose the demand draft or part-C of the NEFT challan (as the case may be) along with the application form and send them in the envelope provided with the kit. If you choose to pay by DD, make sure you write your name and application number overleaf.

Payment instruction: Instruction for preparing the Demand Draft: The demand draft should be made in the name of (drawn in favour of) NISER NEST and payable at Bhubaneswar. The draft, along with the application should reach NEST office on or before March 8, 2014. Instruction for NEFT transfer: A NEFT challan with all necessary bank details and application number is provided with the kit. Fill up the remaining fields of the challan carefully and make electronic transfer through any bank of your choice. Retain part-B (candidates copy) of the challan as a proof of payment and send the part-C (NEST office copy) of the challan to the NEST office along with application form. Postal charges (additional for offline application form only): ` 50/NB: DT/VJ/NT candidates have separate reservation only at UM-DAE CBS. For NISER, they would be automatically treated as OBC and therefore are advised to pay fees applicable for OBC category.
