INTRODUCTION
From the two definitions above, I conclude that teaching media are the
means that are used by the teacher to convey the teaching material to the students.
It can be printed or audio visual and the tools.
1. The teaching process will be more interesting so that the students are
motivated to learn the material given by the teacher. By using media, the
teacher can attract the students’ attention to the material given by him/her.
Feom the explanation above, it is expected that by using media in teaching
and leraning process, students will be motivated in learning the material
givenby the teacher by heart. If they learn by heart automatically they will
get a maximun result
2. The material will be cleraer so that the students an understand the material
easily. Media make students easier in catghing the material given by the
teacher. Here media act sa the means used by the teacher to make the
tecahing material easily. If the students can gatgt the material easily
automatically they can understand it easily too. As a simple sample is a
white board. The teacher writes the material which is conveyed to the
students on the board in a form of diagram and writes the esplanation of
the diagram so that students can catch it easily.
In this chapter, I would present with the method of study, which was
important as a guideline to attain the objectivity of the study. It provided with
research design, subject of study, source of data, instrument of study, technique
ofcollecting data, procedure of collecting data in the action research, criterion of
assessment and data processing, will be mentioned as follows:
3.1 Research Design
Research design in this study was to seek and to answer the question of the
study “How could improving students pronounciation using circle game? In doing
so, I intended to use quantitative research to complete this study. Wikipedia
(2007) in its article said that Quantitative methods were research methods dealing
with numbers and anything that was measurable. It was generally approached
using scientific methods which include:
a. The generation of models, theories and hypotheses
b. The development of instruments and methods for measurement
c. Experimental control and manipulation of variables
d. Collection of empirical data
e. Modeling and analysis of data
f. Evaluation of results
Wikipedia (2007) in its article also said, the objective of quantitative
researchwas to develop and employ mathematical models, theories andhypotheses
pertaining to natural phenomena. The process of measurement was central to
quantitativeresearch because it provided the fundamental connection between
empirical observation and mathematical expression of quantitative relationships.
