Evaluation of Sources

Researchers crafting a reliable and relevant research project must always carefully evaluate information before they decide to use it. In this assignment, then, you will utilize your information literacy skills in order to locate and critique a variety of sources that may be applicable to your Bibliographic Essay.

In particular, you will examine a total of five sources that fall into the each of the following categories;

One book Two articles from academic databases Two websites or articles from the World Wide Web

After locating your sources, compose an APA or MLA citation for each source. Next, evaluate each source by addressing the questions listed below. If not, discuss one or two exemplary instances of scholarship that you found in the source. I do not detect any bias in this article it is very straight forward. 4. This article is an book with very dense research on fashion, fashion is very big in the press and this brings a lot of the press and media around it at all times. 8. This article is very through and covers a wide variety of topics with in the rheum of fashion cycles. This article might fit my research but I would need to do more in-depth research to find out. 2. From a breef reading over the article I believe that it has potential to help me but because of the terminology used and the amount of words I do not know I believe this article is not the best one to use. 3. This article is geared towards people who want to research large fashion retailers that are known worldwide. The information in this article is compiled from past and current employees of H&M clothing. This source fits my research perfectly because it gives me an inside look at a company the participates in keeping fashion cycles fresh and open.

This article will help my research immensely due to the fact that it discusses many components of the one of the biggest fashion retailers in the world. 3. They do a very nice job of keeping facts sharp and specific

This article was posted in 2012 this is around the time H&M became popular in American and began allowing online shipping to the US 6. Does the author have the experience and/or credentials necessary to be considered an authority on the subject? Explain in detail. The author is creatable and her credibility is backed up by the amount of information put into her works cited page and the page that explains the copyright.

This article is a scholarly article that clearly deigns H&M past present and minor future projections and all of their workings

This fits my research needs exactly more than any other source because it hits exactly on how styles go from Introduction, Rise in popularity, Decline in popularity, and Rejection and repete. 2. This gives me an exact graph that defines how styles go in and out of style through depiction with a graph. 3. I do not detect any biases in this article this there is not a works sited page but I need the information in the paper and fully agree with it so I am going to use this information in my paper

The primary audience for this source is would be students studying fashion design. Persons whom are concerned with the effect accessories and variations of fabric have on fashion and trends would also be drawn to this article. This article goes into great detail about the different types of fabric and the accessories playing a role in the fashion industry. This article helps my research because I can get a view of fashion from the fashion industry side. 2. How, if at all, does the content of this source apply to your research project?
