Completed Applications are due April 25th at 5pm to the Welcome Center front desk. Cougar Carnival is the only opportunity for campus organizations to interact with incoming students during the New Student Orientations. All applicants are required to attend one information meeting, which will be held on April 30th at 4:30pm, May 1st at 4:30 pm and May 2nd at 2pm in the Welcome Center Theater. One person from your organization must attend one of the meetings in order for your organization to participate in Cougar Carnival. All organizations are responsible for educating its members on the Participation Agreement. If any member of the organization violates the Participation Agreement, regardless of who signed the policy, then the entire organization is subject to administrative action, up to and including cancellation of the privilege of participating in Cougar Carnival.

Additional Conditions Booth can be no larger than 5ft by 5ft. You must provide your own table (3x5ft.) Two representatives of your organization must be at the booth at all times but no more than four representatives. No weapons or anything resembling a weapon is allowed. Must have an interactive game. A table with an info board is not acceptable.
Your signature below indicates your agreement to comply with the terms cited on the Cougar Carnival Application. Further, your signature serves as your acknowledgement that you have read, understand, and agree to comply with the requirements of the Participation Agreement (attached). This application is due April 25th by 5pm at the Welcome Center.

No member of my organization will offer to or take new students out for the evening or entertain them socially outside of the confines of New Student Orientation programming while the new student is attending their New Student Orientation. New Student Orientation parameters begin at 7am on day one of a conference and extend through 5pm on the second day. This includes students staying overnight on campus OR those returning to another residence during their orientation. No member of my organization will disturb the peace and good order of the Cougar Carnival by, among other things; fighting, quarreling, excessive noise, or any behavior that is a material disruption to organizations participating in and/or to the business of the Cougar Carnival program. All members of my organization will behave in a manner that protects and promotes the goals of the Prospective and New Student Programs Office as well as those of the Cougar Carnival program. My organization will have a minimum of 2 members at our booth and no more than 4 members present at any given time. All members (no fewer than 2 and no more than 4) will wear their name badges throughout the duration of Cougar Carnival. No animals are allowed at Cougar Carnival unless they are working animals (such as seeing eye dogs). Any need for a working animal must be presented to Prospective and New Student Programs at the point of Application. Members of my organization will comply with the directions of the Prospective and New Student Programs staff acting in performance of their duties. Any person or persons who use excessive vulgar language toward a new student, member of another organization, or any member of the orientation team will be ask to leave.
Members of my organization will comply with all applicable University of Houston policies, including those outlined in the UH Student Code of Conduct, as well as all applicable federal, State, and local laws. Failure to comply with any of the guidelines above could put your organization in jeopardy of losing its privileges at Cougar Carnival, Homecoming, and/or Frontier Fiesta.
