Detailed Activity Plan

Names: Azeema, Kaiya, Misha, Nancy, Nicole, Sandra, Tony, Brennan

Activities (list each station, if applicable): Prep Time (30 min): What will you do at Rice Center to prepare for your presentation? Bring two tables into Gym. Place a disposable tablecloth on both tables. Place popcorn in appropriate bags, juice in cups, set up napkins. Prizes can be displayed in front. Gather paint, brushes, sponges, stencils, and paper towels for separate table; Tattoo Art on face/arm. Put up pictures of possible designs where visible. Set up a small stage area for charades. This means setting up enough seating for each child who is not performing to sit facing in the same direction.

Activity Steps (20 min): List should be numbered and give specific details. Include stepby-step, detailed instructions, referencing materials needed and the activity location. 1. The children will enter the gym and be guided to our table in their groups of 9. 2. Azeema and Nancy will greet them and talk to them about getting their face/arm painted. 3. Azeema and Nancy will show them the different type of stencils we have available for them and after they decide on their favorite stencil Azeema and Nancy will proceed with the face painting. (2 children/station). 4. The children will choose a tattoo that they like and Kaiya will assist them in putting them on. the kids will go in a rotation so by the end of the time all the kids will have gotten one rather than them all waiting in line at once.

5. The children who are not being tattooed will move to the stage area to begin playing charades, \which will be organized by Brennan and Sandra As each childs tattoo is completed, one individual from the stage area will be sent over to receive the painting 6. One child will be chosen by asking for an initial volunteer (i.e. Who wants to go first?). They will be shown three cards, each with a different famous character on them (both name and image). They will select one of those three and then act out that character. The other children will have to guess who they are pretending to be. 7. The child who guesses correctly will be the next one up (no repeats, however). They will be given a new set of three characters to choose from so that previous children will not have an advantage guessing. 8. The game of charades will repeat until a few minutes remain. At that point the children will be taken from the stage area to the snack table and each child will be given popcorn and a juice cup by Tony and Misha. If any child has not yet received a tattoo and wishes to receive one that can be done in this time. This will likely take the rest of the time. Clean-up/Transition (5 min): What will you need to replace, re-do, etc. before the next group arrives? How will you clean up at the end to leave the Rice Center better than you found it? Brushes will need to be cleaned before next group arrives. There should be enough food as well as a clean table. If needed, extra face paint palettes will be set out before the next group arrives. All paint will be safely put away after the table tops are cleaned and wiped down of fallen paint. The charade cards should be reorganized at this point.
