Get Ready to Gleek Out!

By: Stephanie Flaum Get excited everyone, because the cast of Glee is about to sing their way back into our hearts on Tuesday, February 25th on FOX. The show will be continuing its fifth season. The show, Glee, revolves around a glee club started at McKinley high school by Spanish teacher, Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison). The glee club is at the bottom of the social hierarchy, with its members constantly having slushies thrown at them in the hallways by their classmates. The club also faces the wrath of the cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), whose goal is to take down the glee club once and for all. Glee has definitely transformed drastically since it first premiered in 2009. Most of the cast has graduated McKinley High School, which has led to a separate storyline in the show of some of their college experiences in New York City. Also, Cory Monteith, the actor who played Finn Hudson, passed away this past July. Glee thus aired a tribute episode in his honor, which had fans in tears. Clearly, it is nostalgic to look back at the beginning episodes of Glee, but the future of this show still has so much to offer. In the most recent episodes of Glee, we have seen the glee club at McKinley High prepare for Nationals, Sue Sylvester become principal of the school, Jake (Jacob Puckerman) cheat on Marley (Melissa Benoist), Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) become engaged, Rachel (Lea Michele) score her first Broadway role as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, and Rachel, Kurt, Santana (Naya Rivera) start a band with guest stars, Starchild (Adam Lambert) and Dani (Demi Lovato). The last episode aired was a Christmas episode that was previously banned by the FOX network in 2012. It featured Rachel, Kurt and Santana as singing elves in a local mall and the glee club enters a contest by making a green environmental friendly Christmas tree. Basically, thats what you missed on Glee, but what can we expect when the show finally returns? Will any of the old couples such as Brittany and Santana or Marley and Jake ever get back together? Will Kurt and Blaines engagement last? How will Rachel move on from Finns death? Will the old characters who have been missing in action for a while come back into play? I think we may be seeing more of Brittany and Santana during the rest of this season, as they seemed to start to make amends recently, and their relationship never really had any closure. However, I dont know if Marley will ever be able to forgive Jake for cheating on her with one of her biggest enemies in the school. Kurt and Blaine seem to be going strong despite some struggles they have faced in the past while being apart, but what about Rachel? Rachel seems to have been cozying up to Sam (Chord Overstreet), but is he the one or simply a rebound? It has been

rumored that producers had always planned for Finn and Rachel to be together in the end, with Finn as a music teacher, just like Mr. Schuester, so what will they do now after Finns death on the show? Other than these characters, many other glee club members have graduated McKinley high school, including Mercedes and Quinn. Word on the street is that the whole cast will be reunited for the 100th episode, so we will just have to wait and see! Hopefully everyone tunes in to the return of Glee this February 25th to see what actually happens. You definitely wont want to miss this show stopper!
