Recruitment

Recruitment can be defined as a method of looking for better applicants for the job vacancy and attracting them, from which competent candidates can be chosen for the vacant posts. (Stone, 2008) Maldives Environment and Energy practice civil service law there for the recruitment process will go according to the civil service rule of recurrent process.

Recruitment process
Civil service approach Recruitment for new job vacancies by a specific model of how to obtain or assume new employees for the ministry. Selection

And verify applicants academic qualifications and past work experience. After that they complete a shortlisting process to assure that the highest quality applications are short listed.

Interview and assessment


If you are along the interview shortlist, you will be invited to a competency-based panel interview with your original academic qualification certificate. For understanding of your skills they may ask candidate to complete the role of that job. For example manager and team leader roles, and some other roles, you may be asked to do skills assessments also.

The appointment
Before naming the best applicant to insure that they carry on criminal convictions screening. Once a selection decision has been attained, the successful candidate will be contacted and an

offer made. And send a letter to candidates unsuccessful about the result they have taken about that candidate.

Performance Appraisal
Since 1 Feb 2009 The Civil Service Commission of Maldives has set about enforcing a new Performance Appraisal system to appraise individual performance of civil servants. Ministry of environment and energy is practicing the appraisal system to appraise their staffs to motivate them towards the work. Evaluating the employee's performance and providing informal feedback is an ongoing natural process throughout the year. A formal performance assessment is carried out at least once each year by department supervisors.
