Election Central
2016 Central: Rand Paul to Speak at Kennedy School Sen. Rand Paul (RKY), a potential candidate for the Presidency in 2016, is in Boston today to speak at the Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government, in a forum moderated by Trey Grayson, director of the Kennedy School's Institute of Politics. Besides the Kennedy connection (the school was renamed for the late liberal president in 1966, and the location of Paul's speech will be the John F. Kennedy, Jr. Forum, named for JFK's son), the event is interesting since its moderator, Trey Grayson, was previously Secretary of State of Kentucky and the establishment favorite to win the GOP primary to suceed retiring Sen. Jim Bunning in 2010. Grayson lost the bitter race by 23%...to a Tea Party-backed candidate, little-known at the time, by the name of Dr. Rand Paul.
