basketball games you can watch and on top of that they air around 1 or 2 a.m., so I had to tape the games mostly. When they showed games it was usually the Bulls playing somebody, so I have always been a Michael Jordan fan, and that's who I tried to shoot like. CH: What are you majoring and minoring in? CW: My major is Sports Management and my minor is International Business. CH: What are your career plans after you graduate? CW: My plans are quite complicated since I am not a U.S. citizen; and let me tell you the U.S. doesn't take it easy on immigrants. But hopefully I will be able to gain some experience and obtain a job with international business and possibly go to grad school. CH: What is your favorite movie? CW: There are a lot of them but I'd say my favorite movie is 300. CH: You enjoy soccer as well as basketball. Who is your favorite club/international team? Do you get to watch much soccer here in the states? CW: My favorite International team is Germany of course and my favorite club team is Bayern Muenchen. However, I don't get to watch much soccer unless it's the World Cup. CH: Last year at the Dedmon Center you guys almost beat Radford. How special was that for you playing in front of a home crowd? CW: It felt great to play in front of a home crowd but it was also very disappointing that we lost because we should have won that game. CH: What does it mean to you to have the E&H and ODAC 3point shooting records? CW: I would have rather achieved the ODAC championship but it does mean a lot since that is what the coaches had us working on constantly my whole career here. CH: Where is your favorite place that you've traveled? CW: The favorite place I've traveled to is the Tuscany in Italy. The food's gooood. CH: Allen Iverson is...? CW: Allen Iverson is one of the best, quickest and most talented players in the NBA and will be there next year. CH: What's your favorite memory at E&H? CW: My favorite memory is beating Virginia Wesleyan at home my

The Wasps men's tennis team is creating quite a buzz for themselves right before the ODAC conference tournament. The Wasps defeated the Lynchburg College men's tennis team on Sunday giving the Hornets their first loss in its last five times out. With a 5-1 decision for the men's team, it was a shortened ODAC match. The match was played to a decision, and the Wasps were the first squad to get to the five wins needed for a match victory. The Hornets of Lynchburg dropped their No. 1 singles match to the Wasps, but evened the score at one contest apiece thanks to an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles by Brandon Brown and Kyler Paluga. The Wasps have won their

last three matches, defeating UVA-Wise, Virginia Wesleyan and Lynchburg College. With players like Ben Blevins, Chip Wintringham, Kelly McCall, Brian Butler, Michael Rogers, Chris Wojtera, Hunter Romano, Will Garrison and Jacob Moore, the Wasps have a change to go deep into the ODAC tournament. Tournament play will begin for the Wasps on Friday, April 24, at 12 p.m. in Lexington, Va. for the ODAC Conference Tournament. The team will have a chance to contend with some of the best players in the conference at this event. The team currently stands at 9-8 (4-4), with impressive wins over Randolph (9-0) and Guilford (8-1). The three games that were cancelled during the regular season for inclement weather will not be made up.

Sports Opinion
With the NFL Draft fast approaching (April 25), there is more uncertainty at the top of the draft than any in recent memory. Although these teams may trade out of these spots, these predictions are only meant to apply if the team listed picks in that spot. best quarterback in the draft, although I think if he is a #1 pick he will be a bust. The Lions, however, need a lot of help, and won't be able to resist the urge to draft what they think is a franchise quarterback despite talk of them taking Curry or Smith with this pick. 2. St. Louis Rams- Jason Smith OT Baylor 6'5" 309: Smith shot up the board late in the process, and while he doesn't possess the physical skills of linemen like Andre Smith or Michael Oher, he is still physically gifted and possesses a better work ethic than Andre Smith. The Rams will make this pick to solidify their line with the departure of Orlando Pace and to keep their injury-prone quarterback under center. 3. Kansas City Chiefs- Aaron Curry Wake Forest LB 6'2" 254: Teamed with young superstar Derrick Johnson and serviceable vets Demorrio Williams and Mike Vrabel this unit could not only be a future All-Pro combination but productive even next year. Curry is widely viewed as the best defensive player in this draft, and he is as close to a can't-

No team is safe in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, and Emory & Henry's baseball team proved this to be right last Thursday. The Wasps had a hard time hitting off of Washington & Lee junior pitcher Chuck Davidson in game one. Davidson threw seven strong innings for the Generals and improved to 3-2 on the year. Davidson allowed one run on eight hits while walking one and striking out three. Marc Ailstock was the lone scorer of game one for the Wasps. After losing the first game of the doubleheader 4-1, the Wasps bounced back in the high-scoring second game to stun the generals 14-13. Freshman reliever William Schulhof claimed his first career win against the Generals. Jared Pierce and Codie Mitchell both posted good numbers for the day,

as they both had three runs. Keith Fenner and Josh Rigney also added two RBIs while Josh Nelson and Lee VanLear each added two hits and one RBI for the game. Entering into the ninth inning, the Generals were trailing the Wasps 9-8, but after a pair of homeruns the Wasps found themselves down. Determined

not to lose the game, the Wasps fought back and scored five runs. The game could not have ended better than from a walk-off homerun by Anthony Lowry. "This is my second walk-off homerun, but to do this against Washington and Lee is something I will never forget," Lowry said. The Wasps concluded the season 8-26 (4-14).

SUNS: DAntoni misfire?

idering the trade off of losing him would be less significant. The second significant event in the Suns downturn was the trade that brought Shaquille O'Neal to Phoenix just before the trade deadline in the 2007-08 season. The trade was pursued and initiated by GM Steve Kerr, who believed the Suns inability to play half-court basketball would be their undoing in the playoffs. Kerr based this decision on the fact that the Suns were eliminated from the conference semi-finals the previous season, and were beaten by the Spurs in a midseason clash. This rush to judgment was extremely unnecessary and damaging. Kerr was on several of the Chicago Bulls championship teams and, like Horry, was known for his clutch shooting. However, as is the case in many sports, being a good player doesn't always guarantee that youll be a good GM. No disrespect to Steve Kerr, but in terms of management, he knows nothing about basketball. Shaq is the antithesis of the Suns run and gun offense. In fact, ask the 71, 325pound ONeal to do anything involving the word run and youve got a problem. Complicating the matter is the fact that O'Neal was 36 years old at the time of the trade. O'Neal may be one of the best players of all time, but recently age and weight issues have caused injuries and a significant drop in his form. In an offense that was built on these two things, Shaq would look absolutely lost. Therefore, the Suns instead forced head coach Mike DAntoni to change his offense to suit the beleaguered All-Pro. DAntonis offense had proven itself to be effective and deadly, leading the league in most offensive categories year in and year out DAntoni knew that Shaq would destroy his offense, and vocally campaigned against acquiring the veteran. Despite the disapproval of the man who coached the players on a day-to-day basis and was the mastermind who created the plays and knew what it took to run them, Kerr went ahead with the trade and held DAntoni responsible for its success or failure. When the Suns tail spun and were the last team to make the playoffs, DAntoni was the scapegoat and was promptly fired.

Mocking the NFL Draft: This years top 5 selections

miss prospect as you can get 4. Seattle Seahawks- Brian Orakpo Texas 63 263: There has been a lot of talk about tweeners in this years class, and Orakpo is the cream of the crop. Orakpo has the kind of highenergy personality on the field that will translate no matter the level. Hes a disruptor in the backfield and he can legitimately play either the end or the outside backer spot. This is good news for Seattle who just got rid of AllPro Julian Peterson. 5. Cleveland Browns- Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech 6'1" 215: Michael Crabtree is the best wide receiver prospect since Calvin Johnson, which time wise, isnt that long. However, Crabtree has the potential to be EVEN BETTER than Johnson, which is scary considering that Johnson is the most physically gifted receiver in football history. If I were an NFL GM I would be salivating at the prospects of landing Crabtree. Heck, if he was eligible to be drafted at this time last year, I would have done it then. He is this ready. And that bodes well for the Browns who are uncertain at receiver.

1. Detroit Lions- Matthew Stafford QB Georgia 6'2" 225: OK, seriously this time, I DO NOT THINK that the Lions will take a receiver. Firstly, Matt Millen is gone, and the drafting of Calvin Johnson promises a future brighter than perhaps any receiver in the league. Stafford is the
