Work Experience:
Resident Assistant August 2013 Present

Responsible for managing a university residence hall of more than 40 diverse students. Other responsibilities include running floor meetings, communicating one-on-one with residents and addressing any concerns and questions they may have. Enforced university and residence life policies within the residence halls. January 2013 Present

Research Intern

Assisted a graduate student with his doctorate project and working on my own thesis project as well. Researched lung cancer, with a special focus on the Hippo pathway. Duties included bioinformatics calculations and manipulation, running various lab tests and culturing the stock. January 2014- Present

Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant

Responsible for overseeing students handle technical equipment and maintaining proper safety and technique protocol. Assisted students with data analysis and interpretation of results, as well as completion of lab reports and assignments.

Clubs and Activities:


Atlas Thon Group August 2011- Present

A student-club that focuses on raising money for kids with Pediatric cancer. THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world and the proceeds go to the Four Diamonds Fund. I have been a canning captain for several canning weekends, as well for other fundraisers. Ive been involved intensively in the past two THONs through this organization with canning, dancer mail, fundraising and supporting all of the dancers. August 2011- August 2013

South Asian Student Association

A student-run club that has a special interest in South Asian students and participates in a variety of events including fundraising for pediatric cancer, cultural events around campus, and a multitude of other excellent activities. Fall 2013- Spring 2014

Morale Committee Member

A THON committee that focused on keeping dancer spirit and strength up throughout THON weekend. I was responsible for providing my dancer with physical and emotional support, as well as other dancers.

Volunteer Experience:
Sunrise Living Care Summer 2009-2012

I volunteered at this Alzheimers retirement home and interacted with the patients by providing them meals, ente rtainment and emotional relief. Summer 2012-2013

St Marys Medical Center

I assisted the technological department communicate with the doctors and ease the transition to a brand new medical program called CPOE. I also shadowed a doctor as he made rounds and observed several surgeries, including catheterization and heart surgery.
