chorus:
It’s an everlasting fruitcake.
Just as soon as it’s gone, it will reappear.
Though we’ve done our best to be rid of it,
it shows up at our house each year.
We figured that we could not eat it.
Its walnuts and dates were kaput.
It’s so dense, you would not believe it.
So, please don’t drop it on your foot! Oww!
We sent it to Norway last summer.
We put it into a big sack.
I guess there was not enough postage,
and we got our ol’ fruitcake back! (crying)
repeat chorus
We tossed it into our big mulcher.
We backed over it with our car.
We ran over it with our mower.
That fruitcake was not even scarred.
We figured it must be resistant.
Its toughness must be pretty great.
So we turned it into a football
that doubles as a paper weight.
repeat chorus
Yes, it’s an everlasting fruitcake.
Just as soon as it’s gone, it will reappear.
Though we’ve done our best to be rid of it,
it shows up at our house each year.
I wish it didn’t show up ev’ry year.
Yes, it shows up at our house each year!

The Turkey Tango
I taught my turkey how to tango.
His name is Fred. He’s from Durango.
In a tux, he looks so chic,
with a rose held in his beak.
And he does a nice fandango.
chorus:
Winter in America.
Cold up North. Ev’rything’s frozen!
Winter in America.
Warm down South. You might go swimmin’!
Winter in America.
All depends on where you’re livin’!

Santa Is My Buddy
I’ve been very good this year,
pleasant, helpful and sincere.
Cleaned my room and washed the car.
Stayed out of the cookie jar. Mostly.
Did my homework ev’ry day,
no matter what my teachers say.
Even washed behind my ears.
I sure hope Santa reappears. Okay, Santa! Anytime!
Oh, Santa is my buddy. We go way back.
Santa is my pal. We’re on a first name basis.
I almost like him half as much
as my pet hamster, Hal. Well, Hal and I have been through a lot together.
When my Mom said, “Rise and shine,”
I didn’t even cry or whine. Much.
I gave Hal my garlic bread
and scraped the gum off of my bed. Almost.
I heard Santa had a list.
I made sure I wasn’t missed.
Found him on the Internet
and e-mailed what I’d like to get. Isn’t technology wonderful?
Oh, Santa is my buddy. Ready when you are, S.C.!
Santa is my pal. I’ve got pictures to prove it.
I almost like him half as much
as my pet hamster, Hal. Hal truly understands me.
Oh, Santa is my buddy. Just ask him!
Yes, he and I are friends. It’s a meaningful relationship.
And even Hal and Santa bond
till shopping season ends. Hal is just that kind of hamster.
Yes, even Hal and Santa bond
till shopping season ends!
I wonder if the Easter Bunny has an e-mail address?
