Florida
Men:
• The Gators moved to 3-0 (1-0 SEC) in dual meet competition this season with a 139-104 win over Georgia Oct. 30
• Florida improved to 58-15-2 all-time against the Bulldogs
• The Gators won seven events in the 13-event format
• UF collaborated to swim five NCAA provisional marks against Georgia, including the 400 medley and 400 free relays and individ-
ual marks by Conor Dwyer in the 200 free (1:37.48), Shaune Fraser in the 200 fly (1:46.59) and Roland Rudolf in the 200 back (1:45.75)
• Dwyer (100 & 200 free) and Fraser (200 IM & 200 fly) each won two individual events in the victory
• Diver Anthony Lewark once again led UF on the boards, winning the one-meter board for the third-consecutive week (has NCAA
Zone scores on 1M & 3M)
• Florida will take a two-week training period before heading back to Atlanta, Ga., (faced Georgia Tech 10/23) for the Georgia Tech
Invitational
• The Gators will compete against Clemson, FIU, Florida State, Gardner-Webb, Georgia Tech, NC State

Women:
• The Gators moved to 3-1 (1-1 SEC) in dual meet competition this season after being edged, 137-104, by Georgia Friday, Oct. 30,
in Gainesville
• The Bulldogs narrowed the all-time series with the Gators, 13-11, still in favor of Florida
• Florida women notched 11 NCAA provisional qualifying marks against Georgia, led by sophomore Teresa Crippen, who made B
cuts in the 200 back, 200 fly and 200 IM, while freshman Jamie Bohunicky had a solid meet for UF with provisional marks in the 200 and
500 free
• Florida diver Kara Salamone was the only UF athlete to win two individual events against Georgia (1M & 3M), and is one of two
divers (Monica Dodson) to have qualified for NCAA Zones on both boards
• UF welcomes Michigan and Stanford to Gainesville for a double-dual Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6-7
• Meet time is slated for 7 p.m. Friday evening and will continue at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the O’Connell Center
• Florida owns an 8-0 all-time record against the Wolverines, while Michigan has a 1-0 edge over UF
• The three teams are meeting for the second time in the last two years after Michigan hosted Florida and Stanford Oct. 17, 2008, to
open the 2008-09 season

Georgia
The Georgia swimming and diving teams split their dual meets with Florida last Friday at the O¹Connell Natatorium. The Lady Bulldogs ran
their record to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the SEC with a 137-104 victory over the Lady Gators. In the men¹s meet, the Bulldogs (0-2, 0-1 SEC)
dropped a 139-104 decision. Allison Schmitt was a double winner for the Lady Bulldogs, taking the 200-yard freestyle in 1:46.02 and the
500 freestyle in 4:44.72. For the Bulldogs, Troyden Prinsloo led the way as he won the 500 freestyle in 4:27.80 and the 1,000 freestyle in
9:08.32. Georgia will return to action on Wednesday at 5 p.m. against Emory at Gabrielsen Natatorium.

Kentucky
After a two-week layoff the Kentucky swimming and diving teams returned to action at Tennessee on Friday afternoon in Knoxville. The
Volunteers got the better of the Blue and White taking wins over both of UK’s squads. Kentucky’s sprinters were fantastic as the Blue and
White swept the 50- and 100-free events on the men’s side. Seniors Eric McGinnis and Alex Forbes were the top two finishers in both events
with McGinnis winning the 50 and Forbes the 100-free. Senior Warren Grobbelaar recorded his third win of the season in the 100-fly and
recorded the fourth fastest time in the SEC this season in the win. On the women’s side, freshman Trina Winsor recorded her first-ever col-
legiate victory when she topped the field in the 500-free. Diver Lisa Faulkner swept both diving events for the second straight meet. Faulkner
was the lone Wildcat to record two individual wins. The Blue and White will return to action on Nov. 6th at Virginia.
LSU
Men

Women
The Lady Tigers (1-2, 0-2 SEC) overpowered Tulane, 175-117, last Friday to earn their first victory of the season. Four athletes recorded two
event victories apiece to pace the women’s squad. Freshman diver Rebecca St. Germain swept both springboard diving events with career-
high scores. The San Antonio, Texas, native moved into fifth all-time in school history with her one-meter total of 310.95 and tallied the
eighth-best three-meter score in program annals, 313.43. Swimmers Jane Trepp, Kannon Betzen and Mary Beck also emerged victorious twice
on the afternoon. Trepp captured the 50-yard freestyle (23.36 seconds) and 200 breaststroke (2:25.23), while Betzen claimed the 100 free
(51.10) and 200 free (1:52.90). Beck took first-place in the 100 butterfly (57.08) and 100 breast (1:06.03). Furthermore, junior Brooke Barnett,
sophomore Samantha Goates and freshmen Audrey Lawson and Sally Wood claimed victories against the Green Wave. The LSU men did
not compete last week but will hit the road along with the Lady Tigers for the first time this season when they travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to
face the Crimson Tide on Nov. 6. Following that meet, both teams will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to challenge Florida State on the follow-
ing day, Nov. 7.

South Carolina
Friday's swimming and diving meet with archrival Clemson came down to the last two events, but South Carolina came up just a hair short
in dropping a pair of heartbreaking decisions to the Tigers at McHugh Natatorium. The women's meet was a fight to the final relay with the
Gamecocks falling 155-145. The men's meet was decided in the next-to-last event as the Tigers won 160-140. South Carolina's men fell to
1-3, while the Gamecock women are now 0-4 on the season.

Claire and Christine Thompson provided big wins for the Gamecock women, going 1-2 in all three of their individual events. Claire took first
in both the 200 and 500 freestyle with times of 1:51.54 and 5:01.23, respectively, while Christine won the 1000 with a time of 10:10.79.

Freshman Whitney Avers got her first collegiate win, touching first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:05.33, and senior Sharntelle McLean
won the 50 free in 23.78, one-hundredth of a second ahead of Clemson's Meg Anderson. Junior Megan Sparks took first in the 200 back-
stroke with a 2:02.33.

Sophomore Armin Hornikel came up big for the Carolina men, winning both the 100 and 200 breaststroke with freshman Bobby Cave sec-
ond in both races. Hornikel touched in 56.87 in the 100 and won going away in the 200 with a time of 2:05.91. Freshman Michael Flach
got wins in the 200 fly (1:51.98), 500 free (4:34.19) and 200 free (1:41.00). Fellow freshman Brooks Ross got a victory in the 1000 free with
a time of 9:30.21.

Junior Courtney Forcucci earned wins for the Gamecocks in the diving well, scoring 288.67 in 1-meter and 333.53 in 3-meter. Allison Barr
was second on the 3-meter board. Forcucci has won five times in six events this season. For the men, the Gamecocks got runner-up finish-
es from Rylan Ridenour in the 3-meter board and Nikolas Sachs in the 1-meter event.

The Gamecocks will hit the road for the third straight meet next Friday, Nov. 6, as they travel to Tennessee for an SEC showdown.

Tennessee
Men
For the 34th consecutive time, the Tennessee swimming and diving team rolled to a victory over Kentucky. The Big Orange, not having lost
to the Wildcats since 1952, earned the win over the Wildcats Friday in Knoxville, 180-120. Sensational sophomore diver Ryan Helms
remained undefeated on the season, posting a season-best 346.80 on the one-meter, and a collegiate-event best on the three-meter at 418.58.
Helms leads the SEC in the three-meter event. Junior Brad Craig was also a double winner in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes. Craig leads the
conference and the nation in the 200 breaststroke. Juniors Carl Jones and Patrick Beasley earned their first collegiate wins in the 1000 freestyle
and 200 butterfly, respectively. SEC Swimmer of the Week Ricky Henahan remained undefeated in the 100 backstroke this season and placed
second in the 200 to teammate Anders Storvik. The Vols return to action Friday, welcoming the South Carolina Gamecocks to Rocky Top.

Women
The Tennessee women’s swimming and diving team improved to 2-0 in the SEC and 2-1 overall on Friday, Oct. 30, by defeat-
ing Kentucky 193-103 in its first home meet of the season. The Lady Vols were led by seniors Michele King and Jamie Saffer,
sophomore Jenny Connolly and freshman Kelsey Floyd, who teamed up to kick off the meet by winning the 200y medley relay
with a B cut time. King, Connolly and Floyd, as well as senior Alex Barsanti and sophomore Tori Richmond all captured two
individual events versus the Wildcats. Overall, the Big Orange won 12 swimming events. UT will return to the pool this Friday
at 1 p.m. when it looks to move to 3-0 in the conference against South Carolina in Knoxville.
