ADVERTISEMENT
Applications in prescribed form are invited from the APST candidates only for
filling up 2 (two) posts of Research Officer, under the department of Planning., Govt. of
Arunachal Pradesh in the pay band of PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100/- Grade pay of Rs.
5400/- PM plus Group-A (Non-ministerial) and other allowances as admissible to
Arunachal Pradesh Govt. employees from time to time. The vacancy position is subject
to variation.
[A] AVAILABILTY OF APPLICATION FORM;-
Application forms for admission to the Research Officer Examination, 2013 with
syllabus can be obtained from the Commission's office Itanagar, on all working days
from 10 AM t o 4 PM upto 07.01.2014 on payment of Rs. 120/- in cash. No separate
examination fee in the form of DDlTreasury challan will be required along with the
application. The examination fee has been included with the cost of application form.
On expiry of above mentioned last date of receiving of application no further chance of
correctionlrectification will be given in any circumstances.
[8] ELIGIBILITY ;-
The candidates must have attained 21 years of age and should not be more than
28 years as on 07.01.2014. However, the upper age limit is relaxable in accordance
with the instructions issued by the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh from time to time
[C] EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION ;-
Candidate applying for the post must be a Master Degree holder from a
recognized university with either one of the following subjects:-
1. Economics
2. Commerce
3. Statistics
-4. Mathematics and
5. Geography.
However, the final year students of the Master Degree course who are to appear
for such examination shall also be eligible to apply. Such candidates who are declared
to have qualified by the Commission in the written competitive examination will have to
produce original certificates or marksheet of passing their Master degree examination
issued by the Assistant Registrar/Registrar/Controller of ExaminationNice-Chancellor of
the concerned University will only be accepted by the Commission on or before the date
of inferviewNiva-Vice. Without the original Certificate/ Marksheet they shall not be
allowed to appear in the Viva-Voce.
[0] METHOD OF SELECTION ;-
The eligible candidate will have to appear in written examination in the following
subject followed by Viva-Vocellnterview to be conducted by the Commission at Itanagar
on the basis of which selection will be made. In case of large numbers of applications,
candidates will be short listed for written and viva-voce on the basis of marks obtained
in screening test on General knowledge Papers carrying 100 marks as may be decided
by the Commission .

3. InterviewNiva-Voce test. . Maximum Marks= 50

The candidat e who has secured a minimum of 33 % or more marks in each
writ t en examinat ion papers and has secured 45% of marks out of aggregat e t ot al
marks in t he writ t en .examinat ion papers shall be eligible for Int erviewNiva-Voce
t est and on t he basis of 1:3 rat io norms.
[E] HOW TO APPLY :-
Along with the duly filled up application, candidates must enclose the following
self attested documents other wise the application will be rejected.
i. 2 (two) copies of recent color pass-port size photographs with self
attestation in the front side which should be pasted on the space provided
in the application form and attendance sheet.
ii. Self Attested copies of certificates and marksheets issued by the Assistant
Registrar/Registrar/Controller of ExaminationNice-Chancelior of the
concerned University to ascertain educational qualification.
iii. Self Attested copy of Matriculation Certificate for proof of age issued by
the Board only will be accepted.
iv. Self Attested copy of APST certificate.
v. The candidates who qualify for viva-voce test should compulsorily
produce original certificates from matriculation onwards to PG level at the
day of viva-voce test failing which they will not allowed to participate in
selection process.
vi. Candidates are required to choose one of the optional subject from
following optional subject :-
a) Economics
(b) Statistics
(c) Commerce
(d) Mathematics
(e) Geography
[F] LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION :-
The last date for receipt of application form by the Commission is 07.01.2014
upto 4 PM.

[G] OTHER RULES :-
a) The decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a
candidate for admission to the interview or selection will be final and no
correspondence or personal enquiry will be entertained.
b) Candidates already in service may apply direct to this Commission with an
NOC from his/her Head of Deptt.

c) Application in the prescribed form along with necessary documents should


reach this Commission in a cover/envelope superscribed" Application for
the post of Research Officer-2013.
d) The Commission will not be responsible for delay in receipt of application
due to any reason whatsoever.
e) Application form not fulfilling the terms and conditions as stipulated in the
advertisement will be rejected.
f) APPLICATION FORM OTHER THAN THE ONE PROCURED FROM THE AP
PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, ITANAGAR WILL BE SUMMARILY
REJECTED. NO DUPLICATE OR PHOTOCOPY FORM WILL BE
ENTERTAINED.
