**VPK Registration Has Begun: Register at Franklin School District Office (old Brown Elementary School). Must bring:
Childs Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Recent Physical, Shot Record, Proof of Residency, Parent Identification. All

at noon, in a sealed envelope placed in the front office mailbox of Dr. Lois Catlin. Please visit both the state website
www.takestockinchildren.org (for qualifications to apply) and our local program www.TSICseahawks.org for our Franklin County activities.

**Town Hall Meeting - Appointed Superintendent: May 13 Franklin County School Cafeteria 5:00pm
Dr. Wayne Blanton of the FLA School Board Association will discuss the pros & cons of appointing/electing the future Superintendent position.
Dr. Blanton has considerable experience in appointment procedures & will address concerns & questions following his presentation. All citizens
are invited & encouraged to attend as this decision may greatly impact our current educational system.

**FLA. 2013-14 ESE PARENT SURVEY: The Florida Department of Education is conducting a survey for parents of students
who have an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), receive Exceptional Student Education (ESE) services and are currently attending a
Florida Public School. The survey is open now through May 31, 2014.

The GED Test will not administered by the Franklin County School District until further notice.
For alternative testing locations, contact Maxine Creamer at the Literacy Center at 670-4481.
Franklin County School District is no longer required by the FL. Dept. of Education to keep GED records. Individuals
