Objective
I plan to enter a career in the natural resource and environmental conservation fields upon completion of my formal
education. Wildlife & landscape ecology as well as ornithology are of great interest to me. I enjoy working during the
summers months gaining field experience.

COMMUNICATION
I have served as a representative for the University of Idahos chapter of The Wildlife Society, presenting to the Student
Affairs Council. I was a liaison between the two organizations and served as their point of communication between each
other.
I have gained confidence in public speaking by presenting at new student orientations, and also presenting information
to and for the Wildlife Society.

LEADERSHIP
As president of the University of Idahos chapter of Tau Sigma, a national honor society for transfer students, I have
further developed my leadership skills. Projects include presenting at new student orientations, coordinating
volunteering opportunities, and inspiring those around me to greatness.
I have served as a student ambassador for the University of Idaho, specializing in transfer students and community
colleges. This has allowed me speak at various locations, and represent the University of Idaho in a professional
manner.
I have been a teachers assistant for an introductory course in natural resources for two years. I have shown leadership
in the classroom and on field trips by facilitating a professional and exciting atmosphere while being available to the
students as a mentor.

HABITAT EVALUATION CREW MEMBER | COLUMBIA BASIN FISH & WILDLIFE AUTHORITY | SUMMER OF 2012 &
2013
Responsibilities include gathering vegetative data through field sampling techniques. Daily hiking to remote wilderness
requires a high demand for physical endurance. Professional and accurate collection of data including vegetation
heights and species identification, forest canopy composition, grassland composition, riparian evaluation and tree
heights.
Methods included using transects for systematic data collection and micro-plots for herbaceous cover and composition.
Tools used included a density-meter for acquiring canopy cover, clinometer for tree heights and GPS for navigation.
GREENHOUSE ATTENDANT | SPOKANE COMMUNITY COLLEGE GREENHOUSE | SEPT. 2011 TO MAY 2012
Daily duties include cleaning and sanitation of work areas. Weeding, transplanting and pruning were a big part of my
job. Propagation of plants was done weekly. I participated in events such as craft shows and open houses.
I was responsible for the appearance of the grounds surrounding the greenhouse. This was accomplished through
weeding, landscaping, and planting of flowers and shrubs.
MAINTENANCE CREW & STORE CLERK | PRIEST LAKE STATE PARK | MAY 2011 TO SEPT. 2011
Daily duties include cleaning bathrooms twice daily, emptying garbage and cardboard from park store and
headquarters. Ground maintenance including mowing, weeding, and light landscaping was done as needed throughout
the summer.
Other duties include camper safety, painting, blowing up flat tires, cleaning glass off the beach, vehicle maintenance,
pruning trees, milling lumber, clearing trails, plumbing and anything else that was of concern to park appearance,
function or safety.
As a store employee I was responsible for customer service, money handling, stocking, inventory, sales and cleaning.
