To All The Brothers and Sisters of St. Emma/St.

Francis:
I/We are reaching out to you at the most critcal tme in our history since our Alma Maters have
closed.
FrancisEmma Inc. needs your help. The grounds and buildings, at what we know as Belmead, are in
jeopardy. FrancisEmma Inc. is doing its best to retain this property for a number of reasons:
A. Whether you know it or not, you are a part of American, Virginian, and African-American
history. These lands must be retained for the world to know our history.
B. The Legacy of St. Katherine (the frst American saint) is also our responsibility.
C. If these lands have to be sold, who knows if we will ever be able to visit the place
of our youth again?

I/We are asking all of you to do whatever you can to help. FrancisEmma Inc. has received a $200,000
matching grant for a short period of tme. This means all we raise will be matched up to $200,000 in
additonal funds. Former students, their family members, their friends, and acquaintances can all
help by making contributons (tax deductble up to 100%) directly to FEI before June, 2014.

Also, FEI is putng on Ted Langes play Lady Patriot May 23
rd
through May 25
th
in Richmond, VA at
the Modlin Center for the Arts ,University of Richmond as a fundraiser.

You, your family, and your friends and acquaintances can help by spreading the word to every one in
your address book and on social media all over the country startng now and contnuing through to
the tme of the event. FEI will supply you with the informaton. Even if you cant come, you can
through social media, encourage everyone you know to encourage everyone they know in the Rich-
mond area to form playgoer groups and atend the play Lady Patriot. This is crucial, we need you
to make this a success. We also need volunteers to come to Powhatan to head up specifc projects,
such as, group sales, ad book, promotons, etc.

You can also ask fraternites, sororites, churches, church groups, the Masons, Eastern Star, Links, Girl-
friends, College Alumni groups, etc., to come as a group if they have chapters in the Richmond area.
The botom line is we must all contribute to the success of the event in any way we can.
Volunteers for any task, please contact Sister Maureen at Maureentc@aol.com
or Rodney Jackson at, rmhj1024@yahoo.com
or Earl Wilkins at, earlswilkins@gmail.com A.S.A.P.
