• Students from Tertiary Institutions, Junior Colleges, Secondary Schools

Fees & Charity


1. Entry fee (per team) payable to BorderX is $250.
2. All profits generated from the event will go to the beneficiary.
3. Orchard Central will match the donation $1 for $1.
4. The total amount raised for charity will be presented to the beneficiary during the
Urban H!gh prize presentation ceremony on Sunday, 20 December 2009.

Semi‐Finals 19 December 2009 (Saturday)
Finals 20 December 2009 (Sunday)

General Terms & Conditions


1. Each team comprises of six (06) persons, at least two (02) have to be female.
2. The team of six (06) will be divided into two groups. Three (03) persons will climb
the via ferrata route while other three (03) will be required to complete the rock
climbing lanes in BorderX. Briefing on via ferrata will be provided. As the climbing
wall in BorderX is designed to be climbed in sports shoes, no prior knowledge / skill
required.
3. Participants are not required to bring their own harnesses or climbing shoes.
4. An individual who has signed up in a team is not allowed to be a member of another
team. No substitution is allowed when the team progresses to the next round of
competition.
5. Climbers may be required to complete a brain teaser en‐route to completing
the route.
6. The precise sequence of the climb / via ferrata will be revealed on the day
of the event.
7. To register, teams will have to present the entry form together with full payment to
BorderX, #04‐22, Orchard Central. For enquiries, please call 68844870.
8. Teams will be required to participate in the heats. Thereafter, they will be informed
of their eligibility for the semi‐finals and subsequent qualification for the finals.
9. Closing date for entries is Friday, 27 November 2009 at 12noon.

Our Beneficiary

The Boys’ Brigade is a uniformed youth organization in Singapore founded in 1930.

The Boys’ Brigade Sharity Gift Box (BBSGB) is a national community project organized
annually by The Boys’ Brigade. It is strongly supported by the National Council of Social
Services (NCSS) and Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS). The
project started in 1988 and is held during the Christmas season to promote the spirit of
caring and sharing among Singaporeans. For the past 21 years, BBSGB has been bringing
cheer to the less fortunate by collecting and distributing food and household items to
them, as well as fulfilling their Christmas wishes. The beneficiaries include poor families,
disadvantaged children and needy elderly.
