Work Experience
• Directed activities regarding mortgage insurance programs to facilitate the purchase or refinancing of multifamily rental
housing.
• Proposed and implemented regulatory changes to streamline HUD programs to facilitate transactions that utilize equity from
Low Income Housing Tax Credits and tax-exempt bond financing.
• Oversaw the administration of rental assistance programs - Project-based Section 8, Rent Supplement, etc.
• Created and promoted policies to preserve the HUD/FHA affordable housing portfolio.
• Advised on policies regarding the Section 232 mortgage insurance program to facilitate the construction and substantial
rehabilitation of nursing homes, intermediate care facilities, and assisted-living facilities.
• Oversaw the Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly and Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with
Disabilities programs.
• Oversaw asset management responsibilities relating to mortgage servicing, default servicing, and acquisition and disposition
of loans and properties.
• Testified before Congress on senior housing policies, multifamily preservation, and housing options for special needs
populations.
• Represented HUD/FHA at numerous national trade organization conferences.
