RESULTS OF THE 2014/2015 BUNDA STUDENTS UNION EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AND SPEAKER OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS.

Esteemed scholars, it is with gratitude that I present to you the results of the just ended
elections of our own leaders of the students body. As you may recall, we closed the voting
process on 9
th
May 2014 following the canvassing period which run from Monday, 5
th
May 2014
to Thursday 8
th
May 2014. The Electoral Commission had been counting votes from 8:00pm of
9
th
May, 2014 till 5am of 10
th
May, 2014.
On behalf of the electoral commission and indeed on my own behalf, I would like to thank you
all for the support you rendered to us through this pressing time. The results represent your
true adherence to governance and democratic principles which fosters the students body unity.
We would be failing our duties if we do not appreciate the support we got from the University
Management through the offices of the Vice Chancellor, the Dean of students, the Assistant
registrar (SW) and the Chilowa cafeteria management.
The electoral results are being represented to you as indicated in table 1, where the winners
are in bold. In case of any complaint over the results, please address them as stipulated in the
article 39 of the Bunda amended Constitution of 2013. A fully fledged election report will be
availed after fourteen (14) days from now following a lapse of the complaint window.
