ROYALS MANAGER NED YOST:

On importance of Johnny Giavotellas go-ahead home run:

Theyre all important. Todays win was important on a number of levels. One, it gave us a winning road trip. Two, and
more importantly, I think it was the first time that the offense has covered the pitching. Jeremy went out and gave it
everything he had, but he just wasnt sharp. They were all over him. We had Escobars grand slam to get us going, which
was huge. Tack on another run there. Then they come back with three homers, and now were down by two they kept
pecking away. But Johnnys home run was huge. I thought that if we could tie it or take the lead there, were pretty set up
with Crow, Davis, and Holland behind him. Boom, it happened, and boom, it worked out.
