ABOUT THE FACULTY

The Faculty of Philosophy is one of the largest research centres in Southeast Europe in the feld of
social sciences and humanities. We take pride in the quality of education provided by our professors,
associate professors and assistant professors. The Faculty accommodates approximately 3,000 students
annually for education in the three main degrees bachelors, masters and doctoral. The mission of
the college of professors, students and staff is to learn, explore, develop and promote experience
in the humanitarian, social and political spheres through scientifc and practical qualifcations. The
Faculty of Philosophy is an institution of national importance and helps form the core of Bulgarian
humanitarian intelligentsia.

DOCTORATE
The Faculty of Philosophy announces the annual
admission of PhD students. Currently there are
over 200 students at doctoral level. The faculty
actively supports the training of graduate students
and their realization in the scientifc environment
through a series of projects and international
contacts.

LIFELONG LEARNING
The Faculty of Philosophy offers group or
individual training for graduates. The forms
are different (short and long-term and distance
learning) and teaching is carried out by the
academic staff of the Faculty.
All courses of the Bachelors and Masters
programs are eligible for further education.
