Internship Open Recruitment FAQ

Application

I still have classes this semester. Can I still apply for internship if I can only come to the office several days in a week?
If you have only one or two classes per week, yes, you can. You only need to make sure that you can come to the office
at least 3 days per week with accumulated working hours no less than 24 hours per week

What is the requirement of being in intern in OG Secretariat?
In general, we are looking for young Indonesians with integrity, pride in being Indonesian, and eagerness to contribute to
the betterment of the country. The technical requirements vary by position.

Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes, you can. In fact, do let us know if you are open to be placed at any other position aside from the one you are
applying to.

Can I write my essay in Indonesian?
Yes, you can write your essay in English or in Indonesian, whichever language is more comfortable for you to write in.
Please make sure you write your essay in a simple, straightforward, and non-flowery language.

After I am selected to be one of the OGI intern, what do I need to bring on my first day?
You need to bring your own laptop, abundant of enthusiasm, brightest smile, copy of your identity card, and a surat
pengantar from your faculty/university.


Duration

When does the internship start?
The internship will start at July 1
st
.

Can I do internship for less than 3 months?
No, you cant. The duration is set for 3 months to ensure each intern will have adequate time to adapt with the new
environment and to absorb the new information.


Laporan Magang

Can I use the knowledge that I get during the internship to write a laporan magang?
Yes, you can. We have had several interns who wrote laporan magang about OG and/or UKP4 such as @AichiroSuryo
and @ameliaarnis. Do let us know in advance if you are planning to do this, and please make sure your dosen
pembimbing is ok with this. In this case, if you are selected to be intern in OG Secretariat, we need to find a project that is
not only beneficial for OG but also suitable to be written in your laporan magang.


Others

I am not a student anymore and/or I do not live in Jakarta, but I want to contribute to OG? How can I do that?
The scheme for non-student to contribute to OG is via volunteerism. We have @jessicaangkasa and @nggaradiva who
do volunteer work for OG remotely, i.e. they do not work in OG office. We also have @harimbawa who worked at OG
Secretariat office for 5 days during his 6-weeks leave from his engineer job in Australia. We also have @NmichelleVO
who helped OG Secretariat in intern recruitmen process, remotely from Singapore.
