THOUGHTS FROM BRAD
I want to say thank you for all those who served on our planning team for this weekend. Your willingness to pray, plan and serve will not only impact our church, but also the Kingdom of God. Special thanks are also due to our kitchen crew who planned, prepared and patiently served all those who attended the prayer breakfast. But let me also thank my wife, Kim, for all she does to assist me in the ministry here at Fifth Avenue. She is a great servant of God and wonderful helpmate.
I am pleased to have Keith Dimbath today as our guest speaker. Keith joined the Lifeline Christian Mission team after 30+ years in located ministry. He serves as the Laborlink Work Team Director for Lifeline and travels abroad in mission work regularly. After traveling to Haiti for years as a volunteer, he had made it his goal to help people discover the joy of being the hands and feet of Jesus. Please make Keith & Christi feel welcome today as they visit with us at Fifth Avenue. They have a special bond with this church. I will let Keith inform you of that connection.
It is not too late to join us in our new Wednesday night elective entitled: Acts of God. It meets in the Fellowship Hall at 6:15 p.m. Join us and bring a friend who needs help dealing with lifes difficult question: If God is so loving, then why does He allow me to suffer?
Something to think about
What would happen if the people of God truly recognized that we belong to God & exist for Him? The Bible says, Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Just think how different this world would be, if we allowed Him to be Lord over everything, even where we live, and what we do, and what we say.
In His Service, Brad, Eph. 3:20-21 BITS FROM BRO. DAVE
SENIOR SAINTS IN THE SMOKIES: Just one more reminder that we depart at 5:59 on Monday, May 26.
UPCOMING KEENAGER TRIP: Our next adventure will take place on Wednesday, June 25. On that day, we will be traveling to New Concord to visit the National Road Zane Grey Museum and the John Glenn Home. From there, we will motor on to Cambridge for lunch and a visit to the Hopalong Cassidy Museum, which is housed in the Scotts Antique Mall. Our departure time is 8:00 AM. The cost for admission and travel is $13.00 per person. Lunch will be on your own. A sign-up sheet is posted. I will appreciate your payment when you sign up. (Our new policy is that if you have paid and find you cannot make a trip, we will refund any admission fees but cannot return gas money. We figure that amount too close for refunds!)
MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDIES: This week, May 14, we began an examination of II Timothy. This is a chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse adventure. I would encourage your participation in either the 10:00 AM or 6:30 PM group. We cover the same material in each session. Choose the group that best fits your schedule.
FINAL THOUGHT: Old age is like everything else; to make a success of it you have to start young.
Today is the last day to let the church office know if you will be graduating from High School or College this Spring.

Core Values...
Values central to the life, mission and vision of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are:
Christ-Centered Worship We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through grace- based preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).
Church Health and Biblical Balance Church health becomes reality when God's people seek harmony & live consistently. We expect every member to protect the unity of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)
Global Evangelism We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and Soon- Coming King (Acts 20:27).
Fellowship and Ministry After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip them to find a ministry based upon their strengths. We want everyone to serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want His church to be the living evidence of His love and power to the world.
Discipleship We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.
Social Conscience We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).

At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear concerning what a person must do to become a Christian. Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit into your life. To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you come forward during our commitment song at the conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers are welcome to become members at FACC by coming forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you complete a series of Curious classes to help you better understand what you are committing to as a member. If you would like to take a Curious class, please indicate this on your Silent Roll Call Card. OUR PURPOSE
