GOVERNOR DECLARES BURN BAN THAT INCLUDES VANCE

Fallin has proclaimed a burn ban in 36 Oklahoma counties, including Garfield
County where Vance Air Force Base is located. The burn ban, effective
immediately, includes any outdoor open flame such as campfires and bonfires.
Gas grills can be used provided the grill is over a non-flammable surface at
least five feet from flammable vegetation. Any fire resulting from gas
grilling is still an illegal fire. Gusty winds and extremely dry vegetation
are a deadly fire combination. Don't contribute to the threat.
