- Tour of office, met coworkers, talked about working
with different people every day (writing/editing team,
web team, photo/video/creative team), Started
organizing/documenting photos into Excel
spreadsheet to eventually be shipped to the university

- Learned how to manage events and accounts with
module for the alumni website, basic introduction to
coding, received password for JAlbum (photos in
University Website galleries), worked with Photoshop
to edit photos, received University Alumni nstagram

- A bit of a crisis at the office today. The website was
down and iModules were not working, so we were
unable to edit the website or post the weekly
newsletter. While we waited for OT to fix the issue,
continued to document the photo archives into the
Excel spreadsheet database as per Gail's request. -
iModules began up and running and created my first
event form on the official Alumni Association Website.

-Updated the Maryland Alumni homepage and
calendar for alumni.umd.edu; edited images on
photoshop to be used on homepage; learned more
coding; created three "throw back thursday #tbt" posts,
and had the idea to do a caption contest on the
Facebook before Valentine's day

talked about / got instructions for my semester project
(Reconstruct the University of Maryland Brand Took
Kit); Wrote Tweets and Facebook posts for the stop

theme templates for the Tool Kit website

- Continued browsing html theme codes (chose top
three to make sample pages and show to supervisor
before purchasing domain for the new UMD brand tool
kit); practiced coding on CodeAcademy; Finally chose
template; began coding Tool Kit on Dreamweaver
(sample to show Linda Thursday for her approval)

-Added event to event calendar; continued editing tool
kit proof; learned to create my own style sheet for
hover text
2/24/2014 (Make up for snow
day) 9:20 a.m. 1:45 p.m. 4.4
-Came on Monday to make up hours missed on the
snow day Thursday, 2/14. On Mondays, the team has
meetings at 9:30, so came in a bit earlier than normal
to be downstairs on time. Meeting was about UMD
data breach and dealing with calls and questions from
other students faculty or staff. We were told that all
people with a current UMD D# were affected by the
breach, and were encouraged to take advantage of
the free credit monitoring through the university. then
finished the first sample website for the tool kit and
began working on the next one.

- Learned the basics of email marketing with Justin,
added three events to the alumni event calendar,
found more pictures and captions for #tbt (Throwback
Thursday posts)

photos for the month of March; did media searches of
positive attention admist the data crisis for the news
letter; Learned to compile online newsletter from
scratch using HTML coding and style sheets

- Arrived late (delayed opening for snow); added event
to event calendar; practiced coding on Code
Academy; had to hold off on updating the alumni
Website based on March's newsletter, "The Shell,"
because editors downstairs were not here today to
