Vision: Global recognition as model of excellence in operating community centers focused on socio-economic
development, technology literacy, health education and lifelong learning.
Mission: Operate model community centers providing affordable high quality vocational education & technology
training, leadership & entrepreneurship development, health education and leisure learning programs as a vehicle
for socio-economic development.
What We Do
Lucinma actively seeks to increase vocational skills, information technology literacy, and academic competency
levels among Nigerians (especially women) through high quality vocational education, information technology
literacy education and workforce development programs. Lucinma also provides several leisure learning
opportunities, life skills classes, leadership, entrepreneurship & management education, health & wellness
education and other valuable training resources with lifelong value to participants. Our programs are designed to
improve the income earning capacity of participants, provide quality skills to last them a lifetime and improve
their self esteem,
Our model campus/community development center and online learning communities create social and professional
networking opportunities for all participants. Our programs provide a wide array of leisure learning, lifelong
learning, and enrichment opportunities for women of all ages and professional/societal background. Lucinma is
poised to be at the forefront of advocacy for improved preventive healthcare education and delivery for women
related conditions and efficient management of chronic illness
Our Technology institute provides computer literacy to diverse groups of professionals and nonprofessionals in the
community at highly affordable rates with flexible tuition free scholarships available for those who qualify.
Lucinma acts as a tangible vehicle of poverty reduction in the communities it serves, through its signature
scholarship programs for eligible females from the following groups: indigent widows, indigent high school leavers,
teachers and unemployed graduates.
Our publications, webinars seminars, conferences, summits, talk shows and similar forums, provide interesting
information and extend the dialogue on family, health, parenting, relationships, business, entrepreneurship.
information technology innovations, professional & personal advancement and issues of general interest.
History & Business: Lucinma's model Center of excellence located at Prompt Enterprises Bldg. no 3, St. Finbarrs
College Road (@ Pako busstop) in Akoka, Lagos, was established in July 2004 as an N.G.O focused on women
development with emphasis on vocational & technology education, leisure learning, personal & professional
development, socio-economic development and health & wellness advocacy. The center opened its doors on October
2, 2004 to the first batch of young women participants in its signature scholarship funded LUFISH- Lucinma
Finishing School program (life skills, employment readiness and leadership/entrepreneurship program for high
school graduates), and widows enrolled in the LUWEP- Widows Empowerment program ( a model program for
poverty alleviation for indigent widows through scholarship funded vocational skills acquisition).
We take great pride in the impact our programs have made since 2004. We particularly treasure the countless
success stories and testimonials from our network of highly successful alumni and the highly satisfied clients we
serve through our affiliate gift shop, fragrance shop, corporate gift service, student run professional home services
and on site student run services in catering, graphic design, hair dressing, beauty & cosmetology, tailoring and
printing.

LUFISH
LUCINMA FINISHNG SCHOOL
This is our signature program for high school graduates which we started in 2004, with a threefold goal: (1) equip
the girls with valuable life skills, (2) provide entrepreneurship skills and (3)provide employment
readiness/workplace skills to last them a life time. First we provide the girls with employment readiness skills
through instruction in: computer literacy, leadership, business communication, grammar refresher, business math,
customer service, marketing, sales, and public speaking. Next we integrate these skills into a vocational
training/entrepreneurial dev. curriculum focused on mastery of different skills to prepare them for small business
ownership opportunities. Third, we provide life skills training for these young women many of who, are typically
ill-prepared for the challenges of marriage and motherhood. The program curriculum strongly reflects agreement
with the philosophy/ popular saying, "...train a woman and you have educated a nation".
PROGRAM BENEFITS: The LUFISH program is designed to help the program graduates gain employability within the
administration field by exposing participants to essential secretarial and administrative skills for today's dynamic
administrative office professional. In addition every student is prepared for a dual pathway of either employment
or entrepreneurship opportunities from a selection of in-demand vocational career areas of focus : catering/event
management, graphic design, tailoring or beauty/cosmetology.
Lucinma Finishing School curriculum also exposes participants to the type of discipline required for individual
excellence and success in pursuit of higher education and equips those who wish to return to school for
undergraduate degrees with tools to achieve financial independence by providing services or working part time in
their specialty skill area. This empowers interested LUFISH graduates to sponsor themselves through university.
The rigor and versatility of LUFISH programs provide a great foundation for career advancement into leadership
positions. The participants leave confident in their ability to play management, leadership and administrative
support roles for small and medium scale business employers as: secretaries, technology office administrators,
graphic designers, database administrators, call center operators, cashiers, receptionists, client service/sales reps.,
or professional service roles as hairdressers, caterers, fashion designers, and event planners.
Most importantly, LUFISH participants acquire mandatory life skills (a panacea for survival in the real world) in
the following areas : leadership & ethics, decision making, negotiation, conflict mgt., cooking and baking , home
mgt, entertainment, budgeting, inter-personal communication, teamwork, time mgt., public speaking & presentation,
event coordination, basic etiquette, religious and moral education, poise, and personal hygiene.
