SUPPLIES
Metler Web Bond TA101
Pair of old jeans
Scrap fabric for applique
Metler metallic thread
Key Ring
3 inches Heavy Ribbon
Step 1. Make one copy of the patern on page 5. Use one patern to cut out
circle and the other patern to cut out star.
Step 2. Use Metler Web Bond TA101 to adhere circle patern onto the leg of
a pair of old jeans. Spray inside of the leg to adhere the front and back legs
together.

Step 4. Spray one side of the star
patern and place on the applique fabric
and cut out the star. Take the patern
of the applique, spray the fabric star
and place in the center of the denim cir-
cle.

Step 5. Thread the ribbon
through the key ring and fold
the ribbon in half. Place the
raw edges of the ribbon inside
the two layers of the denim
circle and fnger press togeth-
er. There should be enough
adhesive to hold the key ring/
ribbon in place.
Step 3. Cut out circle through both layers
of denim. The Web Bond will make this
easy because it will hold everything to-
gether.

Step 6. Take your key chain to the
sewing machine that has been
threaded with Metler metallic
thread. Using your presser foot as a
guide, sew around the outside of
the circle with your favorite decora-
tve sttch.
Your key chain should look
like this and you are ready to
sew it together.

Your key chain is fnished. Throw your keys in your purse and
the big denim circle makes it easy to fnd.
This is a fun, fast, useful, simple project.
While youre making this one, make 3 or 4 for gifs.
And of course, use your imaginaton and come up with your
own ideas and shapes. Hopefully this will help inspire you.

And hang onto those jeans. More uses coming.
Step 7. Change your machine setng to a straight sttch, using
Metler metallic thread, sew the applique on. Sew close to the edge
of the star being careful to leave your sewing machine needle in the
fabric at each inside and outside corner when you change directon.
