Michelle Current Balance is $2,724.92 though a couple of checks have not gone through March Iowa Children Abuse Prevention Program (ICAPP) GAXs submitted. o Sexual Abuse Prevention through Crises Intervention & Advocacy (CIAC) March =$825.36 o Outreach & Follow Up through Partners in Family Development and ISU Extension March =$2,975.94 o $206.00 was collected through pinwheel sales A friendly reminder on what documentation the Board needs per PCAIA from the three sub-contractors: expense sheet, vouchers and receipts to be mailed in with original and one copy. Approved unanimously.
Open Forum Dena (in absence of Natalie via email): Crisis Intervention & Advocacy Center (CIAC) will be again holding their annual garage sale event on J une 20-21. Please contact CIAC with donations for their garage sale to support their efforts, (515) 993-4095. Christina: Tentatively 39 participates are expected to attend nexts school years Head Start Preschool Roundup.

Deb S: Advised April is also Denim Day a visual sign of support and an effort to raise awareness about sexual assault throughout Iowa, raise funds to support and promote a society free from sexual violence and to meet the diverse needs of survivors. Vivian: Discussed the PCAIA Conference: school readiness, Bag of Life (school of live a metaphorical image; it is that of carrying all the disappointments, wrongs, and trauma of the past around with one in a heavy load). Jovanka: Was photographer at Dallas Countys Toddler Fest Jenny: Will obtain approval from DCAT Community Partnership for Protecting Children (CPPC) funds of $20,000 to be divided between Boone and Dallas.
Old Business: Post Office Box. DCCAC has finalized with the Postmaster to discontinue service of PO Box 191, Adel. Child Abuse Prevention Month Activities Pinwheel vases were put at the following places: ISU Extension, Providence Place, Waukee Library, Dallas Center Library, Adel Library, Perry Library Prevent Child Abuse Month display at the Waukee Library A booth with information was at the April 12, 2014 Dallas County Toddler Fest DCCAC (Lisa, Dena, Vivian, Ann and Debb) attended Dallas County Board of Supervisors (BOS) Meeting to inform/remind BOS and those in attendance of April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Proclamation of recognizing the above. Approved to stake the banner again this year in the southwest corner of the Courthouse lawn. News releases about child abuse prevention month were in the Adel Advisor, Discover Adel, and Adel Chamber News. Dallas County employees were sent information about child abuse awareness through an email distribution list. Pinwheels were planted around Courthouse and in front of Wells Fargo Bank and Culligan Water. CPPC banner staked in Courthouse yard. Booth at Toddler Fest Debb (for DCCAC) distributed DCCAC bookmarks, Text-A-Tip, PCAIA sheets (25 Ways To Be A Loving Parent, Words Your Child Needs To Hear and Social Math Facts), CIAC brochures, Child Abuse Prevention Blue Ribbon bookmarks, PFD brochures, Dallas County Resource Directory and pinwheel coloring sheet.
