Mapping Lab of Utah
Learning Process
What I Already Know
1. I can identify different cities in Utah, I did not put most of them in the correct coordinates but I
tried to put them where I thought and remembered they were. I tried to remember where Bear Lake is
but put it in the place of the Wasatch Mountains. I did not put very much more because I was trying
to think of what I knew. I would like to learn more of the coordinates of things and also where some
of the main regions of Utah are and how you could possibly get to that selected area.

What I Want to Know
2. I would really love to know more of the smaller regions in Utah and maybe how to get to
certain spot by following a map or coordinates, and more about the mountains, rivers and lakes,
ect.

How I did This
I played 20 places in Utah, First Time I got 44% in 4 minutes. The Second time I got
53% in 1 minute.
Then I played Utah Counties, the first time I got 55% in 2 minutes. The second time I
surprisingly I got 50% in 3 minutes.
And Finally I played Mountains and National Parks and got 41% in 1 minute on my first
try. On my second try I got 48% in 1 minute.
Making My map I did research on various sites and used information on Google Maps
and NG Mapmaker. I gathered it all and put it into my map I also found out about a lot of
new thing like, Ghost Towns, The Kennecott Mine and a few counties in Utah.


My Learning Process
I practice on the games every other night, I have been for four days now. I also just go over
my map and try to remember where the places are exactly.
On 20 places in Utah I got 100% in 50 seconds on my 9th try! :)
On Utah Counties I got 72% in 2 minutes after my tenth try.
I went and played the games for the past few days, over and over agin until my time was
short and I got 100%.

Reflection On Final Map
I am amazed by what I have accomplished, before my map on had 6 things and they were all in
the wrong place, I put Bear Lake in Wasatch mountains place, and I switched Salt Lake City and
St Georges places. But now Im looking at my map and I got 24 out of 26!! All I did was put my
ghost towns in the wrong place, But I remembered all the others off the top of my head, without
a map!! I am very proud of myself, now if someone asked me where something was in Utah I
could tell them! :)
