I am a sophomore at IIT Gandhinagar majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Since my
childhood I am keen interested in latest gadgets and technology and used to explore the
arena of innovation and to share it with my friends. My reason for applying for Microsoft
Students Associate is because this program will help me connecting with a community
equally passionate about the captivation of science. It will impart an opportunity to me to
boost the skills and technical environment in my campus by organizing events like
workshops, boot camps etc. in a regular interval.

Since last year I have engaged myself in many institute activities emphasizing on leadership
skills and knowledge expansion. I am an active team member of Sponsorship Team of
Amalthea13 and 14, Event Organizer of Jobless in Blithchron14, Design Team member of
Blithchron14, Web Designing Team member in Amalthea14 as well as Blithchron15. I am
a member of Website Maintenance Team of the Institute. I have played a crucial role in
organizing Athenas Trove Quest, an Online Crypt Hunt. I am a volunteer in Nyasa, a non-
profit organization. I was Music Coordinator of Eureka13. I have hands on experience in
organizing successful events and coordinating with people right from school level.

I am trained with C, JavaScript, CSS and HTML programing languages. I have worked on
Android Development in Eclipse as well as JQuery Mobile. I was part of the web designing
team of Athenas Trove Quest. Presently I am working on development of Website of
Amalthea14, Blithchron15 and Students Page of the Institute and Android Application of
Amalthea14. I have created a tic-tac-toe game using libcairo in my computing project
under Prof Anand Sengupta. I have created a Face-recognition program in MATLAB in my
mathematics project.

I have maintained my academics with extra-curricular. I have CPI 9.07 in first year. I feel
myself suitable for this position because my experience and knowledge are sufficient
enough for this position. The level of enthusiasm and skill sets of mine matches with the
required one. I can give assurance of creating an inspiring atmosphere in the campus for
the tech-geeks if I am selected for this post.
