THE GABRIEL MARCEL SOCIETY NEUMANN UNIVERSITY PRESS
The Gabriel Marcel Society is launching a new on-line journal, Marcel Studies, with the first issue scheduled
to appear in Spring 2015. Marcel Studies will be a peer-reviewed, international journal dedicated to furthering
understanding and appreciation of the work of French philosopher, Gabriel Marcel.
As an interdisciplinary journal, Marcel Studies welcomes submissions from a variety of backgrounds and
perspectives on topics and themes that pertain to any aspect of Marcels thought. The journal seeks submissions
of the highest academic quality, and particularly welcomes submissions for consideration from younger scholars.
The journal is housed at Neumann University (Philadelphia), and published by Neumann University Press.
CALL FOR PAPERS FOR FIRST ISSUE: Marcel Studies welcome submissions that contribute to a greater understanding
of Gabriel Marcels work. We are not only interested in scholarship that exclusively focuses on Marcels thought
and his contribution to the greater philosophical project, but also welcome articles that explore how Marcels
ideas contribute to fields such as psychology, theology, anthropology, literature and the arts, politics, and
economics. We are also interested in articles that place Marcel in dialogue with specific figures from these
traditions, both past and present.
